This is why you will have to just remove the rack bolts, The rack is in the way when removing the cam bolts.

Fantastic timing on this question, I just ordered my LCA cam tab gussets this afternoon, and TanTaco98 should have put my new LCA bushings in the mail today. To bad your not closer, I'd say we tag team both truck at the same time!

 

Friday I'll finish teardown, got the passenger side done today and I have to say the biggest pain was popping the CV out of the front diff.

I hope the gussets come with instructions, because I've only read one thread and I'm still not 100% sure I know what I'm doing, but none of the shops in my area know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to aftermarket stuff that's not Bro-Dozer.

 

Soo I wanna get some bilstein 5125s and was getting some prices and they asked me when ones I want. They sent me this chart, I don't know what ones I will need. Just a basic 1.5 to 3 progressive AAL. I don't know if you need to know more information or if it's just whatever I prefer.... Thank you

 

replaced Fox/fabtech shocks with Fox factory 2.5 coilovers with resivoir w/ 3in lift. also with it installed Camburg UCAs. hindsight probly should have just got a locker and rebuilt the previous shocks.. oh well

Next years tax return! I have my stock skids but took them off to get my alignment and working on the front!

 

Does anybody know the stock ride height for a 98 v6? I lifted my truck a while back and it has wayyy more rake than I like. I'm thinking the front coils are worn out.

I was told 10" by someone else. Is that too much? Or what's the reasoning? Just curious sorry.

 

Most likely a full set! 285's! They look a little small too me because these coopers run a tad small

 

You have to measure your full compression and droop. But also make sure to have the correct bushings put in so they fit your shock mounts. I have 5125s right now so I can answer some questions if you still have any.

 

Gotcha! I'm gonna make some belly skids soon. No they look nice! Wish I would've gotten 285s, not 265's....

 

Well what ones did you get, I don't have my lift yet and want to get it all on in one go.

 

I might come up with a design my selff for belly's and just order ifs but idk yet! Yeah I like these tires a lot! well you live and learn lol

 

I waited until after so I could measure. I have 11" on the longer side and 10" on the shorter side (one mount is lower than the other). But my lift is, shall we say, excessive in the rear. It is perfect at the moment shock absorber length wise for me, but if I hadn't measured I doubt I could have gotten them that way. You'll need the right length bump stops too to stop from destroying your new shocks.
