sweet mother of god... Zach could spend all day updating the thread and adding people to the wait list or answering questions. How about we let him spend his time actually building the sh*t that people want and he can produce some revenue and profits for his business?

without a doubt but only if he has time to make and deliver product and work his way down the group buy list! Right now the bottleneck appears to be on getting product out the door, not on generating interest in his products. Like all things in life it is about a proper balance between things.

im sure hes over whelmed atm with this group buy sparking almost 4 times the interest over last years group buy. but im sure he was still somewhat prepared for it, hes got a shop and im sure hes noot the only one building these things, he makes quality products, and that alone takes time, well more time over huge businesses like say baja, or gobi. this just shows we all want his product over the competition.
oh and powdercoating i believe is a timely process as well, once again i can be wrong.

ps. im not trying to troll you lol trying to keep it friendly

The questions that I posted are directed to whomever can answer them, whether it be Zach or anybody else. I certainly dont expect Zach to drop everything he is doing to patrol TacomaWorld. It is quite obvious due to his posts, he does occasionally check in and answer questions that have been posted.

    1) Personally, after having my rack setup with 11 and 6 crossbars I think more is less. There are times when more crossbars can be handy and there is no doubt it looks sweet, but most of the time it is unnecessary for the loads I am carrying. As far as the sunroof, if you want a full open space above it you can easily shift the bars to the back to leave the space above the sunroof open. That will give you tighter spacing in the rear of the rack.

    2) I have started to provide 4 tie down rings with the racks.

    3) On new orders I have started including it some of the previously processed orders were shipped before I had it so those won't include it and will need to be ordered separately.

dont worry. I dont think you are trolling. My original post was my wise-ass way of saying let's get Zach back to work on great stuff we all want and not bog him down. Rereading what I wrote, i can see my tone being taken the wrong. But it's all in good fun and it's great to see all the interest in his products. As I said when I posted originally in this thread, he seems to have hit the sweet spot for price and functionality.

    Zach,
Thanks for your response and honesty. You certainly could have talked me into a few more crossbars. Cabrac will mostly be used for my canoes and accessories so I will stay with six crossbars. I am going to upgrade my cabrac to black powdercoated siderails and black powdercoated crossbars. Now I just need to move up a few spots to get off the wait list!

Sorry but I am going to have to pull out. The deal I was getting on the cap for my truck fell through. So that sets my plans back. I am number 110 on the list. Sorry about that. Someday I will find a used cap for my truck.

Bummer that it didn't work out for you. Thanks for being courteous and speaking up instead of just disappearing.

Been looking over a year. I had a guy put it up on CL I claimed it and he pulled out on me before I could pick it up. Said he was keeping it for his new tacoma to see if it would look ok. Black truck with a silver cap. Said he'd call me if he didn't like it or was ready to sell. Not sure a before 2015 cap will fit a new 2016. Trying to hold out some hope I guess.

I hear you man. I am getting antsy with spring coming.I have a 13 foot hobie and I am sick of the yakima clips on my rack wrecking my door paint. Maybe I'll get in on the next GB for these if I can acquire a cap within the next year. Basically since the cap deal fell through I may end up with ladder racks temporary until a cap shows up.
