    I walked down the street to the neighbor's house yesterday when I saw his kid working on his '92 Tacoma. It wouldn't budge one morning last week when it was in the teens. Found a rear brake drum stuffed with ice/mud that had the wheel seized. That stuff gets in everything!

    Finally ordered a CB and antenna. No more "leans out window and yells" method for me. Sadly enough, this is the most exciting addition to my truck in a while.

    I ordered a hand held CB (Uniden) from Walmart on line. $38. Not sure how well it'll work, but for $38 it's worth a shot.

    Despite a valiant effort by @11TRDTX to convince me otherwise, I ended up going with the handheld midland and a magnetic cobra whip. I hope it works decently. I didn't want to hard mount one and have it in the way for the 362 days/year I won't be using it.

    They're great for talking to truckers when there is an accident on the interstate. My radio has saved me from driving into stopped traffic lots of times.

    It belongs to a good friend who is planning on riding along with me @ LBL. The Airstream may be up for sale soon, and if it is, I've already got my name at the top of the list. He's invested a small fortune in it. Biggest single expense was having the outer shell polished to where it shines like a new penny! I stayed in it a couple years ago at a NASCAR race. It is one cool trailer! He pulls it with a Ford F150, but it has been pulled before with an old Ford Aerostar van. About 3200lbs IIRC.
