    Very, very nice....

I'm new to the "mod" culture, but old to the Tacoma world. My 1st was a 95 1/2 Tacoma 4x4.

This year will be my 1st foray into rims, etc. with my on-order MG DCLB. Probably going with FN Wheels Countersteer - love the color...

Guys like you inspire me to do this stuff. Don't tell anyone i said "foray"....

I think black wheels flow better with the black moldings and trim. The Gray wheels are lighter in color than MGM.

NutFlush, you obviously have put a lot of thought into your mods. The SR grill on you OR is a great idea to fix the "grill thing" without breaking the bank. I will be getting one...your photos convinced me.

I have your exact truck on order, expected to arrive in a few weeks. Maybe a bit more yuppy as the rims almost match the truck...I haven't decided whether to go bigger like you did or not. I'll be leaving the suspension stock....

I think your photos convinced me to go with the FN Wheels - haven't decided whether to go 17" six shooter or 16" countersteer offroad. I'm leaving my suspension stock.

Do you think I'm correct to assume the gunmetal color on both these rims is the same? Looks like the exact same rim, just different size.....

Taco Luvr, do you have any more pics of your wheels after the center caps?

Still waiting on the caps. FN had to send the batch of caps back to the painter due to defects. Should have them soon.

It was explained to me that certain wheel models and sizes come out of different plants. What this means is there could be slight variances in the color, but you are correct to assume that they are the same. If it's listed as "gunmetal," it should be the same color as their other gunmetal wheels, with the only variable being it's come out of a different paint booth.

I believe I mentioned before that if you are to look closely in direct sunlight, my wheels are slightly darker than the color of my truck, but really close, and appear to be an identical match in some light. So, if the wheels you get are slightly darker, or slightly lighter, I think you will still be pleased.

The "light gunmetal" color is quite a bit lighter though, which you can see in this side-by-side comparison.

I love FN's 16x8 version of the Countersteer type X wheel. They were my 2nd option.

I've been trying to decide between the more common Black TRD Pros and the Six Shooters in Gunmetal. I hope @Taco Luvr can get some more pics soon to help me get more perspective

It was a tough decision between the Six Shooter and Countersteer Type X. Ultimately, I thought the face of the Six Shooter gave the wheel more depth and was more the look I was wanting vs. the flat face of the Countersteer.

Very soft light this morning. Good time to take some pics. Here you go. Again, no center caps.

Honestly and I think I mentioned this before, ANY & ALL of the wheels that FN offers look great. Hands down the best vendor for Toyota aftermarket wheels IMO.

You really can't go wrong...just a matter of preference.

Agreed. And their wheels are engineered specifically for Toyota, so, outside of OEM, nothing comes close.

That was my thoughts too and I lifted my truck within the first month of owning it. Figure if I'm going to pay for lift, rims and tires might as well enjoy it for the life of the truck.

@Taco Luvr thanks for those! It's really just coming down to a matter of what look I hope to achieve. I personally think black rims give a more "aggressive" appearance, and the Gunmetal give a more "sophisticated" look. If that even makes sense.
