Who did you buy your sliders from?

EDIT: Never mind, didn't look far enough.

We haven't put them up on the site yet, but we got them...

Complete bolt on, no drilling. Check sig for link.

Sorry for dirty pics, this was during mock up. Nothing will change though.

Mobtown bolt on sliders look nice and stout.

    Their price options are:

    $175 for a fill plate
    $200 for powder coating
    $165 shipped to North Florida
    $40 for kickout

The price for DOM is "free", but it looks built into it with prices like that.

Also, Mobtown's website says the kickout is standard, but it's a $40 option to select on the bottom?

My brother just went with Stubbs, in N. Cali, & is pretty content. Sliders are just sliders, support someone relatively local that suits your need.

    @Kumunoy

I am glad you said something, those were mistakes on our website. I just fixed it. The kickout is an option and so is the DOM. Both have upcharges. DOM is normally $80 for DCSB and $100 for DCLB. We are currently running a sale to give you free DOM.

Gussets in the tube center is the weakest location they could be. You want them as close to the edge of the square tube as possible for maximum strength.

Maybe they are copying their design from each other?

We do centered gussets as well, though our gussets are BIG. we gusset 6" down the top of the square tube. I've yet to see any companies slider fail at the gusset from collapsing a tube, aside from tiny 2"x2" gussets which is just plain cheap design. When it comes down to it, most sliders are built pretty stout- likely stronger than the truck frame they're attached to.

I'm wondering how much force is really necessary to collapse a square tube like most of the vendors use. I don't recall in any of the articles linked the amount of force applied to cause the failure, unless I just missed it?

Something like this could do it:

Of course, you don't see any other vendor except Mobtown lift both wheels off the ground:

That certainly helps. Most designs dont run the length of the tube.

Takes a good amount. We do to the side to take away any chance of them ever failing.
