Just look at the build thread
What cover other than the Ironman one fits? Metaltech wants $31 for shipping on that thing.

Just a few expensive & DIY things...
I've reached out to a Dometic/Waeco distributor earlier today, which has the lowest price I've seen right now [$46.89 pre shipment for the TF-51, [now $44.29 on Feb 18th]] for a GB.

    I'm waiting on their response.

    Side note:
the mountain plate apparently is "Temporarily on backorder until April."

Got the lid and latch removed without breaking anything. It looks like it will not need much if any grinding to make they hinge mod work.

I'll take pics and do a writeup after parts arrive and it is a success. Of course, I would imagine it'll void any warranties. But I'll probably be drilling holes in the side as well for the thermometer probes.

Received my fridge on Tuesday, Wednesday night turned it on and the increase temp button is inoperative.
Called Truck fridge this morning about the issue and they are sending out another fridge with a return label so I can ship the other one back. I should be getting it tomorrow.
The representative was understanding and professional. What a fantastic company to deal with.

I've looked and looked for the plug for these fridges so I could make a different cord for mine. Haven't been successful. I ordered a slide during this buy and just bought a second cord from them.

Maybe email TF or Indel B about it? :notsure:
I tried looking online but couldn't find anything similar either.

You could always just buy a cigarette plug cable extension if the supplied cord isn't long enough?

The point of this is to get rid of the Hella plug altogether.

Ah ok. You're looking to hard wire the cord right into your truck?

I thought you just needed to make a longer cord.:anonymous:

Why? Planning to hardwire it directly so all you have to do it plug or unplug it from the back of the fridge?

I wanted to make one that was more secure. Thinking anderson powerpoles or something similar. My girlfriend broke the hella plug end on our original cord (oops...). So that gave me an excuse to buy a new one from truckfridge and cut up the old one...

Anyone know if the slide are rusted proof ? My camper shell gets taken off at times and don't want rain to rust it out. Oh and mine came in yeah but I'm out of town :(
