I wonder if they will have a slightly used skid plate that fits yours perfectly.

I can tell you though.... If it doesn't have to be removed... The tech would have left it on... They won't do any extra work as that takes up time.

It was the stock plate....maybe next one will be aluminum so it is easily visible....but that would make more visible to thieves also....

NO! OP could buy a set of real STEEL skids for around $200 fro S.O.S or another vendor.

you don't want a new one. You should look into getting an aftermarket one

Aluminum one is pretty much for looks and doesn't serve much purpose. The stock ones are functional for the average off highway jaunt and protection from road debri. If it OE black one is missing is def go back to the dealer about it.

Depends on his intent with the truck. If it's just to mill about and for protection from road debri the stock one is fine. Hell, ran the OE ones on the 4Runner and put her through her paces and the stock ones got banged up but served their purpose well.

yea, but a 3/16 steel plate for a little over $200 is way better than buying the factory one for a similar price.

Plus, it will be the front and mid skids for way better protection

Being an offroad package it should have 2 skid plates. They get an extra one that covers by the oilpan.

The dealership said this exact thing. They said I can't prove they took it off or anything. I was furious
