I'm interested in seeing Toyota hound hunting rigs and dog box set ups as well as your hounds in any and all generation pickups and or tacomas. Bird/Duck dog hunters too!

Haven't had a chance to take him out yet as he's still very young and learning. If he can handle it, he'll be retrieving waterfowl.

Thanks he's awesome. Named after what I carry, Ruger. Soft mouth for now but if my wife doesn't stop playing tug o war with him he'll be a hard/strong mouth. His mother retrieves and the father has hunting bloodline. He should be great as long as I keep working with him. He's only five months old. About time to start shooting with him. He's awesome but was very vocal at night for a while. Silent all night long now though.

Hah yeah he's freaking awesome. Gets lots of attention from the ladies. He's super loving and will kiss all over you. First GSP I've had but I've heard they are super loyal family members.

That's pretty cool. He didn't happen to win the Westminster dog show did he? A GSP won. Named CJ I believe. Good to know he's good with children. One may be in the future once thing calm down a tad financially.

I love so much about this post.

Is the guy on the left a GWHP or a wire haired pointing griffon (which happens to be my dream dog)

They are both GWP. Dante on the left and Juno on the right. They are actually siblings from different litters. Same breeding pair but 2 years apart. They are super loving and quirky, as well as excellent bird dogs (Juno is going through training). Tons of fun and will keep you on your toes. They can be stubborn sometimes in a very frustrating way. We initially thought of getting a Griffon but the GWPs were just so damn handsome. We definitely have a soft spot for wirehaired breeds.

I like the wired-haired breed. I didn't really ever see any until after I got my short-haired. You're absolutely right about the stubborn part. Mine is so damn hard headed, but is fun for sure when you start playing with him. He just loves to be sitting beside anybody, doesn't matter who it is.
