same.. did it for years! built a big, badass cooler stereo and everything. then got pulled over coming back one year.. havent been back since.

Ouch. I really contemplated dirty fives.... but didn't want to give up the mileage. Got LOTS of miles to put on soon! Dickhead! OOPS, did I type that out loud?

 

Hahaha! That big spindle lift needs bigger tires!

 

Honestly, I need to drop the shocks a bit in front, and make a slight adjustment in the rear. Sooooo much to do... so little time!!!!

 

Yea, my next 2 weekends are truck stuff as well.

Anyone here ever hike Brown's Peak?

 

Yep, good hike not too long or difficult until the very end

 

Can I expect to haul ass down the dirt road on the way there. Google maps says 2 hours to go 50 miles, seems like BS

 

Depends on how much you want to beat on your truck. There are a lot of smooth sections but also a lot of rocky (no 4x4 required unless you run into snow) cliff side twisty sections. Gotta watch out for morons in side by sides going too fast and not staying to the side.

What he said, hike isn't bad till towards the end, and yah morons are going to be morons driving so just be on the look out pretty much.

Ya it is as long there isnt much snow in the scree chute at the end its not bad. Getting down through the scree chute is a little sketchy but not terrible either.

 

Here's the part he's talking about for the most part, there's an overhang that you kind of have to pull yourself up, and then a few more parts like that not terrible but if it's Iced over or snow it's not worth trying as the fall doesn't just knock you on your ass you fall into rocks and keep on falling for awhile as its all down hill to the base again not something fun to do. Last time we went we didn't realize how cold it had gotten that morning and it iced over we ran into a few groups that had turned around that day.

 

I actually meant the tube float in parker on the Colorado river! they shut the river down to boats and pack it with tubes.

I have only went several times a year down the salt river. I was more into going to saguaro lake. driving past the river is definitely sketchy

 

Yep this right here. Next time I'm going to bring a 7mm canyoneering rope and a light harness or some webbing to tie a swiss seat. Build a leave behind anchor up top and rap down instead of down climbing.

 

I did not know there were climbers here in this fun group! What ratings do you typically climb, and where at?
