So, a friend of mine bought a new Corvette. He has been a Viper Man for a long time, but he decided to make a change. This morning on a closed road (really, it is closed and LONG, on private property), he took me for a ride. OMG!!!!! The acceleration is is amazing! First and second gears are usless. Not sure what gear he shifted into, but at 115 mph, he spun the tires going into gear!:eek::eek:

Jesus mother of gawd, do you know how much they are?

We have a 2001 and it was more expensive than my truck was NEW!!!

Buy yeah, they're fun as hell and FAST!!! It's fun just to romp around town and 'boot it' from time to time off a standstill. You can screech the tires after every shift....

C'mon, you know you want one!! There are used one out there waiting for ya!!

Yep! A new one. And Im pretty awear of how much they are.

I'll get some next time Im at his house! :D

Hard to say. His Viper (a 2002 or 2003 ) was pretty modified. It would burn the tires to 70, and ran a low 12 sec. quarter mile. I think the Vette is faster. It seemed to pull MUCH harder over 100 than the viper did. It pulled HARD all the way to the limiter, where his Viper would loose a bit just before redline. I swear, if we had more room, we would have ended up back in 1984! :D

My truck seems like a turd, now.

That was fun to watch, it brings back memories of a 11.71 sec Mustang (all motor) I use to have. It is good to know that I no longer get tickets while standing still.
