They were pre-cut from 4x innovations. I think it's the perfect angle too

Called ECGS today and found out they will be shipped Thursday. Also that since Ill have the ARB front locker it comes with the upgraded needle bearing (ecgs calls it cv bushing) so I don't have to worry/pay extra for that :woot:

I was looking at your bed rack/bar set up. I had thoughts of the relentless fab bed bars since they are so easy to store.. But I think I decided on a bed rack because I want to put LED lights on the underside of the cross pieces and my extra LED pods on corners. Now to decide aluminum or steel...

I had the AP one and I loved it but I wanted something more streamlined because of the RTT. The relentless bars have two tabs to mount lights or whatever you want, it would just be mounted upside down since the RTT gets in the way.

    Definitely go aluminum

Yeah I know, but also I'd like the RTT a few inches higher. I know it sounds like im being picky but I think it was @DoorDing who said he can't put up one of the window awning rods because it hits the truck. Not only for that but in case I need to use the annex a few inches higher would be nice. Im thinking the height of Rinzler's, about a 10-11" rise off the bed18354998246_57a750b45f_h.jpg

Think aluminum is worth it? Im mixed on it right now

That looks good. My bars are 8" high. So the extra few wouldn't be bad, but I don't have a tent annex anyways. Was never a fan of them, and I can't get the tent window open that's towards the front of the truck either, but I don't mind that. More privacy ;)

If I could go back and get aluminum I would, another reason why I love the relentless bars, they weigh very little even for steel

Also because im 6'2" and I have the part that hangs over the ladder.. Don't want to walk into the side of my tent at night haha.
A little for weight but mainly for rust. It'll be dinged with the tent, hi lift, if I ever drill holes to mount something, taking it on/off etc.. Don't like rust spots. Yes I could touch it up but still.

Another reason why I disliked the steel AP, kept rusting around the welds (might fault) and the apex logo cut into the rack kept chipping and rusting. Wouldn't have a problem with aluminum. Do it!!

I think in the long run it'll be worth it. Which brings me to my next problem, who? I won't go all pro.. I think Pelfrey and CBI are the only companies that i know of.. Could have a local shop do it. I just PM'ed @JeepAndrew who built Rinzler's so we'll see if he can do it in aluminum.
