Beat the sh*t out of my old prerunner. But gave me a great bit of knowledge as far as what these trucks are capable of. And respect what having 4x4 now allows me to do.

Only thing I ever "broke" was had a leaking rear axle seal at about 80k miles.
Agreed. Like I said, 12 k is a good price for that, but you should be able to get a comparable 4x4 second gen for around 15-18k

Hmm well I need a set of coil springs picked up in flag. Maybe I'll just make the trek myself.

I work from 4am to around 2pm, and was hoping to hit the road between 3 and 4pm tomorrow so that I can get down there at a reasonable hr. I can meet up or pick up from someone up here before I leave town, and meet up with you on my way down tomorrow evening or saturday before early afternoon. Got family in town, so don't want to necessarily ditch them too much. Start pm'ing me and copying messages to me and whoever has the parts up here with phone numbers/ what not, and I am willing to help out. But like i said, I got work in a few hrs, so I am off to bed, but will check messages in the morning and as I can throughout the day.

    Hopefully I can help

Personally no, I don't think it's fairly priced. Brand new in 2004 it was 20k. Great trucks, but not worth 5k less after 11 years and 100k miles. I would focus more on owners and not dealers I sold my 2001 off road 4x4 with 150k miles for 11k. And that was high end. Mine had been fully detailed and in pristine condition. because of these older tacomas holding their value so well people are more willing to take advantage of the buyers that want them. I would keep looking. But again. All just my opinion.

So I always talk about just how much I drive and why I need a daily. In the last 5 weeks I've driven 3,600 miles in a 20 year old 4Runner.
