Which lights did you get?

 

THe genssi ones? it was 30$ for 2.. i at the very least may as well try them out.

 

They work fine for me. I got the 2x3 style.

 

They work great for guys that I know that have them.

 

I feel better about them now, did they come with any wiring stuff or nah?

 

That I don't really know. I know they had a pig tail out the back but no connecter. So you either buy a connecter or just hard wire them in.

When y'all say hardwire, do y'all mean splicing them into the reverse wire in my tailights?

 

Ya slicing them, Instead of doing a detachable plug. The nice thing about the plug is that you don't have to cut wires if the light decides to take a shit.

How did you splice it in? Via the power source on trailer plug?

 

Mine are on a switch in the center console. I will be using them as a dust lights also.

So they have their own power source.

 

Gonna splice mine in today probs. the taillight should have a ground wire so tapping into that wont be a problem, my thing is how the hell do i extend both the power and ground wires, they're super short and wont reach my tailight.

 

You will have to a double splice. Grab dome butt connecter and make some tails long enough to reach the light. Then get some of the slices that allow you to splice into a wire with out cutting the existing one. But honestly I would just the grounds straight to the from of the truck.

 

So i'll need to get some extra wire(to extend it out)

Get 2 splices, Ground the black to a bolt somewhere on the truck frame, and splice the power wire into the taillight? too easy,

 

BTW, am i like stupid or something becuause i cant get the Pilot FLP license plate kit mounted on my truck..

 

The instructions that come with it suck. On mine I've got bolts thru my plate on the bottom only, the top of my plate is in that bent channel. Bolt the hinged part directly to the holes in your bumper.

 

Ya you need extra wire. You need two butt splices and an in line splice. Ya you can do a bolt or a tech screw.
