Some others reported the same thing. Also looks like it's on backorder per their site.

    Gents,

For those still pondering power requirements while out on the trail, I thought I'd post an update on my weekend use of the Indel with the Arkpak power supply. I had the fridge cooled to my designated temp prior to loading it in the truck. Set at "00" to keep stuff frozen (I was transporting Ice Cream for the camp dinner Sat evening). After dinner (Ice Cream eaten) raised the temp back to 34 degrees and transplanted beverages and some other food stuffs for the remainder of the weekend. While transporting the fridge to the camp site had it powered through the trucks 12Vdc socket. 3 hour trip to camp on truck power. Set Up camp and put power on the fridge with the Arkpak (Fully charged). Sat 10:00am through Monday 10:00am (48 Hours) and also charging an assortment of devices (2 phones and a bluetooth speaker). Battery (Group 31) Marine deep cycle dropped to 63% and still had 12.3V remaining after 48 hours. That's damn good. Probably could have made a couple more days before hitting 10.5V which was the cutoff for the Indel. Highly recommend it if you're looking for power options for your fridge without having to run a portable generator...

    20160213_152428-1.jpg

Edit: Of Note...if you guys are thinking of running an additional extension 12V DC cord from the cab to the fridge, ensure that the wire gauge is beefy enough to handle the load transfer for the extra distance. I bought a 12V power cord off Amazon and tried to use it to run from the cab all the way to the tailgate as a test. The fridge didn't like it and the compressor wouldn't kick on....

So... there are apparently freon lines up close to the top... :annoyed:

    JFWY Haha. Knock on wood.

Not completely thrilled about how close these were to the edges, but I wanted plastic ones that I could glue as well... but now thinking about it, metal would've been fine.

Zero grinding, shuts and seals better than before IMO. The hinge side had a slight side to side wobble. No longer...

Thanks. I will probably add a dab of bonding adhesive on the button part for the latch, since that'll see a bit of abuse being pulled on every time it gets opened and I dont trust the one screw for the long term. Thought about throwing it in the truck to see how it does tomorrow, but I dont have the outlet wired up yet for it.

I like that... I was just going to wire up a single Blue Sea 12v outlet and bought a cheap voltage 12v meter that I put in the front outlet so I can monitor what its doing. Are you running one power wire to that or multiple?

Nice work @aero3685. You are brave!

I have a few of those carchet outlets wired in my bed power box. They are great, and way less expensive then the name brand Blue Sea ones.

You'll get flashing LED's on the Indel control panel indicator and the compressor won't start with that piece of $hit...

    Live and learn...:D

    Wonder why that is?

Guess I'll try finding just the female and male plugs and wire in some 14 gauge wiring myself. Figure a 15 amp fuse rated plug should be good enough since the fridge has a 15 amp fuse built in.

Basically weak voltage with thin ass wires although they looked beefy in the pics on Amazon...lol You need to use a power tester to make sure you have good voltage at the fridge end. I didn't check it prior to my trip. Just assumed it "Should" work... Not the case. If someone finds a good extension that works...lmk...:)
