Edit: Well, maybe not, but sitting in the ocean can't be good for it.

 

Not at all! You would have to take it apart to wash everything with soap at the least.

what you guys use for keeping the coilover threads from rusting? i wanna use something that doesn't attract dust. i use fluid film but it attracts too much crap.

 

I wipe the shock body/threads down with Corrosion X. Mine still look pretty new.

 

cool i might try that, i seen local gun stores carry the regular one but haven't seen the heavy duty one or aviation locally aside from Amazon. They all dry the same?

 

I spray this stuff on my suspension assembly after i wash them. Mud doesn't stick at all.

 

I've been using the aviation one from Amazon. The regular one seems more thick. The aviation one is blue and a little thinner. I brush it on the threads with a little paint brush and wipe off excess. I coat it about every month or so. It doesn't really dry, just leaves a light coat of oil on the surface but it's better than rusting or corroding.

 

Still pretty much blinging after all it's been through.

 

Really only Sandy's, Kaena Point (Limited), and Peacock Flats...

 

I let um rust so I get excuse to buy new ones

Yup, I F-ing hate cleaning truck. It's not that bad now with fender liners though. It was cleaning the mud without fender liners that was killing me.

On second thought, I still hate cleaning mud.

My old Samurai, I could clean mud off that thing in like 5 minutes.

 

I still haven't washed my truck...

 

That's my plan. Get out of my head.
