That's badass! I love seeing the helicopter pics from the middle east

 

A few photos from my dad today, from Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland State Police have an Agusta 109, "Trooper-2", stationed there.

 

US Coast Guard cruising up the coast of Huntington Beach CA with Catalina Island in the background!

I just did a search on that tail number and it came up at King Saud Medical City, so I say yes!

Yes I am, although I'm currently sitting in Germany on the way stateside for a much needed vacation.

 

That's an AW139, much larger than a 109

 

Two of our 530F's together in McAllen. We have 4 of them and a couple of 500's.

 

Cool picture man and super cool birds. My dad flew 500 for the local PD and I always thought if I hit the jack pot, a 500 series would be what I'd buy for a helicopter, or maybe a Bell 412. There's just something super cool about the 500.

I've been flying helicopters since 1988. 12 years in the Army and EMS since then. I've flown the Huey, Cobra, and Apache in the Army. BK-117, Bell 407, EC-130, and AS-350 in the civilian world.

I've always been fascinated by helicopters, perhaps due to my teenage preoccupation with the Vietnam war.

My bucket list includes being flown in one of these wondrously-bladed, epic-like flying machines.

The Utmost respect to those who have served, and continue to do so, be it military, LEA, medical, rescue......

Yeah they are pretty badass. I'm definitely lucky to get paid to fly them, especially the 530. Not that many of them in the civilian world.
