No word of a lie, well before they stopped selling them in the USA, they pulled them from Canada. If you had one installed they only offered the stock truck warranty and not the full extended warranty like they did on the Tacoma TRD S/C.

Eh, it doesnt if you're getting on it when the trans fluid hasnt warmed up....it can handle the power ;)

Ya, I always let mine warm up as much as I can in the winter (I've only had this installed since December) I had Toyota install it so I dont have to worry about something messing up...
Then again, I also dont get on it all the time like some do...Its great to have it when you need it though :burnrubber:

The 3rd gen really does let you control the mpg by how you drive..I get 18 mpg if I make it shift at 3-3.5k, if I am easier with it, I am getting 23-23.9 on a mixed commute with average speed of 42mph. Not sure how accurate the trip computer is. But it is always trying to upshift which does get old at first but I've adjusted just fine..

Toyota should have some Prius' on the lot if you'd like better gas mileage :crapstorm:

Thats just swell if you want a drag racer , but I stand by my statement that small displacement turbos and small displacement turbo hybrids are the reality of the future . More power , less fuel consumption

And I'm sure you also read the auto ran 8.1 for them. It's all speculation but you'll see low 6's out of the manual in a low elevation test eventually.

This is true. Even when I had a Ranger way back in the day people were always like "at least you don't get 14 mpg like my Silverado," and I would let them know how much better my 15 mpg was not.

Your truck is weak on the dyno, @Redbusket manual was almost more impressive

So you are saying that this:

    Is better than this:

The Ford is in red (top line is torque of course).

Notice how when the tuned 3.5 L is making 200 ft lbs down at 2000 rpm the Ford 2.7 L Ecoboost is already making 280 ft pounds of torque without a tune? You really think you can make that up with a manual transmission? Nope... that flat torque line from the twin turbo Ecoboost is what makes that truck so fun to drive. That's also why the Tacoma needs the option of something similar.

Talking about rocks truck. A supercharged 4.0 with 10 years of aftermarket only makes 20 more hp and torque to the wheels

You mean a stock TRD S/C makes only 20 more HP. There are plenty of guys on XRU with dyno graphs far better than that 3.5 L.
    No he doesn't, as evidenced:

And @Redbusket got 233 hp and 235 torque to the wheels. Not that big of a gap

This. Torque is what makes your truck move. Who cares about top end numbers or a peak in the graph. How does the 3.5 L do at 2500 rpm. Poor, especially for the amount of weight the third gen has to move.

Idk look at the dyno... Oh it's almost making its peak torque at 2500... Weird, you posted it and didn't notice

Your quoted HP number and as peak HP. Also we were talking 2.7 L Ecoboost versus the 3.5 L 2GR IIRC. If you want to get technical, at 2500 RPM, that Ecoboost engine is clearing 100 ft lbs of torque more to the wheels than a Tacoma but only has to move 300 lbs more weight...

If, and it looks like you do, you want to talk about what 10 years of the 1 GR S/C'd I'd suggest you head over to XRU. Plenty of guys pushing 325 ft lbs to the wheel at 2.5K with the TRD setup and minor mods. Another point, because you don't get it, is that every dyno is setup differently. The Ford numbers you can trust because I've seen those numbers pulled at least a dozen times in that range and you'll find chart all over. To really understand the 2 GR you'd need to see pulls on it in a Tacoma on at least a half dozen machines and compare those to numbers generated on other trucks by the same machine. That hasn't happened yet. When it does the results will still show that FI is always better than not for power output.

no mods and drive 60 on the highway and you will. Problem with the EPA estimates right now is they have not kept up with the higher speed limits.
