I have a model 2015 V6 Tacoma Prerunner 4x2. Ok, so just recently I had installed a full set of 4, Bilstein 5100 shocks for my truck. The front pair are the adjustable Bilstein 5100 shocks to which I have set at the 4th setting of 2.5" and I am using my stock front coil springs. The rear pair of shocks are the non adjustable, no lift Bilstein 5100 shocks. At the same time, I replaced my stock tires with 33's. Now, since I set my front to that 4th setting so that I could clear 33's (which I was able to without any trimming or rubbing!!:D) my truck is nose high and has that prerunner look. While I don't exactly mind it, I would be happier to have it more leveled in the rear to match the front ( I want to keep the front shocks set at that 4th 2.5" setting). My question is, Does anyone else have this set up and have any recommendations on which way to go about the rear lift (how many inches/block/add a leaf/etc)? Right now I'm leaning towards the OME Dakars replacement leaf pack but I'm just not sure what inch size to go with...

    Any recommendations help:)

I have the same truck and just got my bilstein 5100s in the mail. I've been debating which setting .85 or 1.75. Got some new wheels and tires also to throw on there. You should get some good help on here. I got some great feedback.

Nice!! Yeah I love the set up so far, just decided I wanted to raise the back end a little. Well depending on the setting you should be able to clear those tires just fine without any rubbing. Mine don't rub at all luckily!

When I had that lift up front I used a 2" AAL from Toytec to raise the rear around 2". The truck sat pretty level.

Yeah the shop that I typically go to recommended the Icon 1.5" AAL but something tells me to just do the full 2" in the rear but at the same time, I'm not even sure that I will even notice that 1/2" difference, you know?

I recommend parking on a level surface. Take a measurement from ground to fender. Jack up the rear bumper until the measurement is 1.5" over original measurement. Stand back and take a good look at it. Then jack it up another .5". Stand back and take another look. This will give you an idea of what it would look like with each configuration. Go with how much lift you think looks best.

Lift blocks are another option. They come in many sizes.

If you leave the factory overload spring in the leaf pack you'll get 2" lift with a 1.5" 3 leaf progressive AAL.

That said, if you have a shell or constant load of a few hundred pounds you won't see that much lift regardless, those are approx. lift heights on stock trucks.

I wouldn't bother getting the Icon version of the 3 leaf AAL - Wheeler's Offroad has their version of that product and it is made by the spring manufacturer as the Icon/ToyTec/etc to the same specs. They're identical, except in price.

The Wheeler's unit is much cheaper.

I have the HS 3 leaf progressive aal. I left the overload in and it gave me almost 2.5 inch in the back. I'm also a prerunner. Our trucks are lighter than 4wd so any lift will gives us a little more. I don't know what your measurements are but mine rear was 22" before and 24.5 after.

Yeah same, I have a Prerunner too. I'd have to double check measurements again but I know the rear was only .75" lower than the front when I last measured but it looks so much lower to me...might be how round the cab is shaped, giving me the illusion that the rear is lower than it really is or it could be that I'm just super picky hahah But that's good to know then. I'm thinking I should be good on the 1.5" AAL then

The other week I installed @HeadStrong Off-Road 3 leaf progressive without the overload leaf. I have a 05 DCSB OR and raised 2" in the rear. Fronts are OME884X's and I also gained 2". Bilstein 5100's on all corners. I love the entire setup.

Subway4×4 would you be interested in selling those overloads?

Not right now. I haven't put any significant weight in the bed. When I do load up, I'll check to see if the rear will sag more than I like. If they do, the overloads go back in.

If you decide to sell them please let me know. I don't care what it cost to ship them or how much you want for them as long as it isn't crazy high.

Ok first off welcome to tacoma world Jessica, now, clarity. There is no way, no how you have the magic 'yota that doesn't rub, trust me it rubs, & with 33's" theres no way around it...:notsure: UNLESS, by no rubbing, you don't offroad, or turn L/R, You'd have to pretty much baby every corne on pavement ,r... If you have cab mounts , you have rubbing... surprised no one has mentioned this already,,, Anyway continuing on, Theres alot of choices for 3rd party leafsprings, from full sets to typical AAL's, My choice is to build my own using only the main spring for foundation & build from there, way better than 80%-90% of aftermarket springs at a fraction of the cost....

Plus YOU control how its built, tailored to personal needs for on/offroad apps...
