So i got a '13 Tacoma with the v6. (Yes it's a PreRunner, and i don't really care because i could still hang with most 4x4's on the trails here.) Anyways, i want to know you guys' opinions! I want something loud, deep, cheap, and not a muffler that sounds like a burrito on steroids. This is my first motor that isn't a v8 so i have no clue! Sorry if this has been answered before.

I have a borla cat back and it has a nice tone, it isn't the loudest, but it grabs a bit of attention. If you want a roaring V8 sound you will never get it, the Borla sounds aggressive but does not have any Drone or ricey sounding shit of a normal six cylinder civic. If you want to demand attention from a couple blocks down this will be a little too quiet, but people turn their heads when I drive by. Idle isn't very loud either. It opens up when giving even a little throttle though.

Stock. A V6 will never sound like a V8, so don't bother wasting the money. Put it in a retirement account.

I have an MBRP and love it. Coming from a Flowmaster 50, then a FM 10, then straight pipes, then to a Cherrybomb Extreme and ended up with the MBRP.

Not too loud but a very nice tone on idle and the closest exhaust for the Tacoma to a small block V8 (IMO) on startup because of the low rumble. Almost no drone at highway speeds.

I'm saying it doesn't scream from 5 blocks away...? I put on exhaust for a performance standpoint, and the borla exhaust gives a little tone but isn't obnoxious, IMO.
