But, once you get here I got the hookups for GY tires and you can probably get a deal on methods from @LikeABoss4x4. Heck I'd check with them to price out your suspension parts too.

Mines seem fine after driving it for 21xx miles. I still haven't gone underneath and check the drive shaft.

Update. My trip meter reset on its own.

My driver side rear window has a bad seal/trim. I'll be taking it to the dealer to have them look at it

We have the same issue. I'm only at 350 miles on the ODO. Idk if I wanna wait till 5000 since my window seal looks like a perfect place for water to be caught. Kinda hard to tell in the pic but here it is

I've been hearing the infamous LCA howling! Seriously. Not even joking. Not too bad with windows up. Still might plug um at some point. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/solved-howling-noise-between-35-45.410480/page-12#post-11857741

Question for you all who've purchased the 2016. Is the Premium package worth it? I don't care about getting the tonneau but is the $3500 additional cost worth those upgrades? And what are exactly are those outside the tonneau and sunroof?

Personally I went without the tech package. You get dual zone climate control (If my passenger is cold, they can shut the vent), Rear parking sonar, blind spot monitor/rear cross traffic alert (Backup camera is standard so and I always look over my shoulder for blind spots) and heated front seats (no need in Hawaii). The only things I wanted from that package on my Off-road was the sun/moon roof and the color matched rear bumper. But after I sat in my buddy's TRD Sport with tech package, I realized that the low ceiling was a turn off for me. I'm only 5'8" but it seemed a lot smaller inside than a truck without the sun/moon roof. For those reasons, I convinced myself that I didn't need to spend $3500 for the tech package. PLUS my truck came with color matched rear bumper anyway by luck!

I have always had bad luck with sun roofs so I avoid them. Also heated seats and climate control no need for those its hawaii so I just got the tow package, I'm going to go with a different tonneau cover then the one it came with from Servco so I just went with the tow package.

Thanks boys. I'm leaning towards the same thing and I also thought about the moonroof taking away head room. I considered package B which is tow and tonneau or A with just tow and buying a aftermarket tonneau as well. What was the out the door price for you Tacos?

Just a little over 38 that was with tint, window breakage alarm and extra warranty. TRD Sport 4x4 short bed is the one I got, which Servco you going to?

The premium and tech packages are definitely not necessary but I did opt for them anyways. The options that really got me was the smart key with push button start (includes touch sensor locking driver handle) and the sunroof. Not having to pull out my keys from my pocket is such a convenient feature and I like driving with the sunroof open at night. Climate control is sometimes nice (fiance is always hotter than I am), blind spot monitoring comes in handy once in awhile but people should be shoulder checking 100% of the time anyways. Is it worth the $2300? Not really just to have those options but since I plan on keeping this truck for a very long time, I felt it was worth it to spend the extra amount on these "luxury" features.

I'm probably in the minority of people that like the OEM tonneau cover. Before I had my truck, I had my eyes set on one of the rolling tonneau covers. After seeing them and using the OEM cover, i'm super happy with it and one of the main reasons is that for the price point ($650), it's durable and it allows me to use my entire bed. 5 feet is small already and having a rolling tonneau that would take away a foot or more is huge.

Servco Hawaii decided not to order the JBL system for all of the Taco's this year and my TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB with prem\tech packages came out to $39K OTD.

The push button or smart key system comes standard on TRD and limited models

As long as you're happy. I find myself sometimes wanting the sunroof, but it's a truck, I'll just pull off to the side and lay in the bed to look up hahah

I'd be stoked on the sunroof but don't necessarily need the BSM/Dual climate control/heated seats. We're very limited with package options out here compared to the mainland Toyota dealers. I'm also torn between either going back to a short bed or another LB like my current 2012. I like the look of the shortbed better but there were many times when I was happy to have the LB because of how much more stuff it'll carry.

I like the look of the shortbed too but def see the practicality of the long bed. If you plan on getting a rolling tonneau cover, I'd really consider getting a long bed. My bro-in-law has a short bed with the rolling tonneau and I swear it feels like he has 3 and a half feet of space back there.

My girl loves the sunroof and it's part of the reason I got it. It's just one of those things that's nice to have. I heard if you're anything over 5'10" you might find your head uncomfortably too close to the roof though.
