So before you go all jackass on me and tell me to use the search function. I tried...Plus I'm pretty sure some of you guys are asking these same questions in the Feeler CVT Group Buy.

Okay. So I'm looking at an RTT. Don't know if I want Tepui or CVT. I know CVT is having a group buy. I wanted to hear y'all thoughts on which one is better/suitable for my needs. Im local to Tepui in the summer time and pretty close to CVT during the rest of the year.

Here are my choices. There would only be two people sleeping in the tent. Prices are pretty close to the same at least.

    Tepui Ayer: ($895) (No Annex)
    Open Dimensions: 48x84x39
    Sleeping Footprint: 48x84

    Tepui Kukenam: ($1200) (No Annex)
    Open Dimensions: 56x96x50
    Sleeping Footprint: 56x96

CVT Mt. Bailey: ($995) (Annex Included)
    Open Dimensions: 48x96x45
    Sleeping Footprint: 48x96

CVT Mt. Bachelor: ($1195) (Annex Included)
    Open Dimensions: 56x96x50
    Sleeping Footprint: 56x96

They are basically the same thing, I know. Just wanted to hear which y'all have/prefer.

The Mt. Bailey could be $895. Awaiting word from CVT.

I just purchased the Mt Shasta and while I can't speak to Tepui, CVT customer service was amazing. One of the best companies I've had the pleasure dealing with. While I am the customer, they actually made sure I got exactly what I wanted and made sure to show me a few pictures so I could decide accordingly. I will always recommend CVT because of this.

I'll update this as soon as I get my tent too so that I can speak to the usability side of things.

We do appreciate you doing the research.
    Ayer:
    1. Our fabric is heavier than the ayer
    2. Interior frame is bigger also.
    3. Annex included
Kukenum: Looks like it only comes in camo?
    Same as above

Also, don't know if Tepui does the same, they can answer you. But CVT has a trade in deal if you want to upgrade tents down the line. Maybe getting myself one of their summit series for christmas.

Awesome. let me know how much an annex for the mt. cayley runs and I'll pay up immediately. The girl and I are going to Stagecoach in April and we'll want some changing space.

Yeah I noticed both of those things when someone posted on here a comparison. Do you guys have one of those weatherhoods like Tepui does?

That would be good for the summer just not necessarily good for the winter? Im assuming you can zip it up and close it though

You can close it. It just has a window on the rain fly too so you can leave the fly on and look through.

Their website now says the Mt. Bachelor was $1295. Could have sworn it was $1195 ? @Cascadia Tents
