First off I want to thank all the TW members who responded to my PM's and helped me to decide on wheels, tires, cover, etc. This forum and its members are fantastic. This is my first Tacoma and I love it!

The wait from order to delivery was 10/24 to 03/01. By the time the truck arrived I had boxes stacked the the garage & under the bed.

Day one:


Installed Toytec BOSS 2.0 lift with SPC UCA's, 275/70R17 BFG KO2's, Pro Comp 7036 17"x9" -6 offset.

$8 3M VHB 100x200mm~ (4" X8") Double Sided Foam Adhesive Sheet Tape 5952 Automotive Mounting Industrial Grade Very High Bond 5952 (1 Sheets 100x200mm)

3M VHB tape, but will use the supplied rivets.

Husky WeatherBeater floor mats front & rear.


Coverking arid multicam seat covers in front (fit very snug) & yoga mat in rear to keep things from sliding around.

Truckcoversusa tonneau cover with Yakima tracks installed at factory. This thing is AWESOME!! The canister is only 8"x8" and instal was easy. Opens and closes very smooth and seems bullet proof. HIGHLY recommend this tonneau cover!

The whole Yakima rack can be put on and taken off in 5 minute with NO tools.

Also you'll notice I plastidipped the grill, emblems and door handles. I will also do the bumper but didn't have enough tape at the time.




Got spare tire mounted in cage with Yakima spare tire carrier.


Next major mod will be a set of sliders....

 

How's the Boss Kit? How many inches of lift?

 

I really like the way it rides with it installed. With the lift and 275's it gave me 3"

 

Nice. Exactly what I am looking for. Did you take a hit on mpg? Why did you take the boss 2.0 over 2.5?

 

For what I plan on doing - more overland stuff than rock crawling - I think the 2.0 will be more than adequate. Another reason I did the 275's. I've only put one tank though it and got 17.5 average.

I have an old Santa Cruz Heckler that I've continued to upgrade over the years and just love it. From Mamoth DH to rolls XC trails it'll rip it all. Though I keep secretly hoping it'll crack so I can justify getting a new Santa Cruz. It is my go to ride in my stable.

 

Just very slight when stuffed but taking in to get alignment adjusted on Friday

The last of the chrome is gone -platidipped the rear bumper.

 

Are you going to add "TACOMA" inserts in the tailgate? I think it would complement the color a lot.
