Looking at a 16 trd offroad with sunroof now for 38093 before ttl, plus a very good trade allowance. Should I jump on it? Sticker $39882.

Impossible. They didn't make a TRD PRO in 2016 model year. It's coming in 2017.
Looks to me like a TRDOR. Nice truck. Congrats!

No worries man, your truck is sweet. The PRO is basically an OffRoad but with the hood scoop, all Limited items (leather, moonroof, etc) and a 1.5" front lift to "level" the truck. Not sure on the brand of suspension (maybe FOX?).

BTW good call on the Frontier. I "test drove" one when I was shopping for my truck and I didn't even drive it. I sat in it, and I said "Nope, not gonna work." I have long legs and just felt cramped in it.

If it weren't for the seats I would have happily kept the Frontier. It drives like a smaller truck and is quicker off the line. That said I'm enjoying the extra features my Tacoma has. But for bang for the buck the Frontier is a bargain.

The seats in my TRD off road did get a little bit old last summer when I was living out of it for a month on a road trip up in the northeast... But good call on the truck. you also won't find ANY pro Tacoma bias amongst us here. :p

I commute about an hour total per day in mine, and like the seats better than the base Tacoma.

If you want a toolbox in the back, less of a concern with a four door, I recommend a side saddle one, so you can throw a bike in straight, or at an angle with the tailgate up.f7845ed2b46f5be5e68d75bf1576ddc3_7798fa53b26637610c6c09e8f1db38b6ca515c40.jpg
    Edited to add another angle.

I've been meaning to paint the box black since I put it on... Two years or so ago. :D
