So the clear coat is peeling really bad on my roof and a little on the hood and it's really bothering me. I know it's the Roof but I just can't stand it. Should I paint this and how much should it be if I do decide? I really don't know and I haven't got any quotes

If it bothers you and you can't stand it you should paint it, since it's your truck and you have to look at it every day. If it were me I'd get it painted for sure because it would aggravate me.

A buddy of mine was quoted like $400 to have his done, it's probably different at every body shop though.

Got my hood and bumper painted two weeks ago for $180. Paint guy that works behind my dads lot. $400 sounds right to me though. Considering they'd have to blend the roof.

Wow, what do you think caused it to do that? I'd for sure have it painted. Would irritate me too

I have no idea what caused it. It was like that when I bought it. That's really the only issue though. The fact that it only had 89000 miles sold me lol

As long as you don't have any body damage ,and it just a simple paint job it shouldn't cost too much . You could get the hood and roof only that would be cheaper.

Plus I didn't notice the roof was peeling so bad before I bought it. I guess that's my fault for not throughly checking it out. Maybe could have got it a little cheaper if I had pointed that out

Good decision on the buy. If the truck is in good shape otherwise, needing a fresh coat of paint is certainly no big deal.

Or you could just lift the truck really high and then you wouldn't see it anymore??

It'll prob look better than you think. Been meaning to wrap my hood flat black to cut down on glare but have been way to busy.

    Was thinking the same thing.

It almost looks like you could turn them into racing stripes lol. You could use the vinyl to make them.

I also thought about mounting a 52" light bar up there to block it out but I have mixed feelings about light bars lol

Same here. Not too crazy about the light bars mounted above the windshield. I do like the roof racks with the lights mounted on them though.
