Bone Stock, but not for long...
I have an 08 prerunner and was looking at the TRD supercharger. Local dealer is telling me $7K installed. Is it worth it? Have to admit i dont do much towing, i just dont back off when the light turns green. I am just looking for more power, is the trd sc worth $7k over stock?

Way too much. It should be around $4500 installed. It's one of the best ways to add more power so it's worth it.

    Lots.
With a little tuning and some "helper parts" (headers, exhaust, intake, ECU upgrade) you can get way more than the 70 hp gain stated.

Was it hard to do? I'm good at mechanical stuff, but is there a lot of electrical steps involved?

I want to get one after the 6" lift,35s,regear. I tow a lot and it would definately come in handy...especially on the mountains here.

No its very easy. You only have to make 2 electrical connections a power wire for a relay and a power wire for the pump. Honestly the hardest thing is putting on the new crank pulley over the existing pulley, and then having to torque it to 180ft.lb (if you have a auto trans) I've installed a few others and can do one in about 4.5-5hrs.

I just bought a JayFeather camper 3500 lbs dry weight and am considering the TRD supercharger. The tacoma struggles going up hills with the camper. Is there anyone towing a considerable amount a weight that notices a big difference after having the supercharger installed? I'm also wondering if its worth the money. I do a lot of camping in the mountains am always going up hills. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
