    Sure. I'll just steal my father inlaw's heat gun back. :D The tricky part is getting a switch to fit in the stock openings. I used a switch I had and cut out the stock blank to fit it in.

    I totally agree with you there! This was one of the first mods I did to my truck when I first bought it! I was more referring to the gizmo's like electric seats and automatic climate control... Even typing those words out feels wrong!

    lol I can deal without those too. Heated seats would be nice if I had leather, but I don't so.... :D Although, it may have been something good for my wife with her bad back. Not gonna pay extra for it though like I would have for the heated mirrors. I *knew* I'd need them and that's one of the reasons I took a serious look at the Ridgeline online, and at a dealer a couple years later while car shopping with a buddy. But the shear ugliness of it among other things made it a no-brainer. :D

    Read back a few pages, I used mirrors from a Toyota Sienna, they are a direct replacement.
    The Highlander switch is also a direct replacement and requires no modification to the dash or the switch.

    For $289? :eek: Um, no. Not when you can buy pads for $24/pair or $48/each depending what brand and where you buy them.

    $289.00 plus $69.00 for the upgrade kit. So $360.00 but idiot proof and you get the signals in the mirrors. Just wondered if anyone had gone that route.

    Check out Toyota Nation and Tundra Solution, members there have done the Muth kits.

    They are far from "idiot proof" as there is lots of tapping into the turn signal wires, you have to modify the dash for the switch and one guy had issues with the mirror glass not fitting properly and rubbing. Plus you still have to take the door and mirror apart.

    The way outlined in this thread is great as it is cheaper, and you have an OEM switch which keeps everything factory.

    What Shawn said! :D Not to mention you still have to run the wiring from both mirrors to the blanks by the steering wheel, tap power and ground, and still need to disassemble the mirror stalks and door panels to run the wires. The ONLY thing the Muth kit eliminates is taking apart the glass to install the pads. So you're paying $300 or more for someone else to put the heater pads on the glass and some LEDs for turn signals.

    Plus if you don't want to put on your own heaters, you can do what I did and use mirrors from a sienna, they were only like $40 a piece plus the switch only brings you to a total of $140 and you keep the stock look.

    There's nothing to show. You just pop out the mirror glass from your truck and replace it with the heated models from the sienna. The outside housing stay the same.

    Because I did mine for $31 with shipping. :D Saved myself $110 when I don't have a lot of spare cash laying around, but NEED to be able use my mirrors during the winter. :thumbsup:

    go to the oem section and type the number in. trdparts4u has the connector listed at $4.96
