Yesterday I changed my air blower resistor because the AC would only work on high. It worked perfectly. Then this morning my car wouldn't start. No juice from the battery at all. Surely this can't be coincidence. I didn't have time to jump start it or anything so I stole my wife's car. Any advise for this? I will try to jump it when I get home but I don't see why this would happen.

How old is your battery? More than likely a coincidence unless you left the dome lights on or something else. Not a lot of chances that the blower resistor caused any problems as it doesn't get power unless the ignition is on.

I've only owned the truck for 10k miles but it is 9 years old. The battery looks new (it's cleanish) so who knows.

I did have the door open for 30 minutes while I worked on it but then I started the engine to see if my project was a success and it worked fine then.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
My factory battery croaked at almost 2 years to the day from when I bought it. On a warranty battery right now. When they go they pop a cell and die horribly. No weakness, nothing. Just gone.

It was the battery. Took it to O'Reilly and they put it in that machine and it said BAD! Bought a yellow top Optima so hopefully it will last a good while.

Good. Thanks for the update. Modern batteries usually don't show much signs when they start to fail as they used to years ago... They just quit.

Glad it was a simple fix. Reckon it's a new battery thing- back in the day, you could tell they were going bad for a while before they would actually go out. I guess now they like to pop cell with no warning.

if you are ever curious on how old your battery is if you dont know, there is a way to tell.
there is usually a letter next to a number. the number is the second digit of the year. the letter is the month this way:
    a-january, b-february, c-march, d-april, e-may, f-june, g-july, h-august, i-september, j-october, k-november, l-december
so if you have G5 its probably July 2015. it possibly could be 2005 also, so you have to look at the battery.

if you dont know how to read a date code, now ya do!

With all of the electronic "memories" in todays vehicles that really is amazing.
