I wouldn't get the Drz400s then. It's pretty out dated. Wr250x with dual sport tires or wr250r with road friendly knobies would be better

You don't think I'll be wishing I had more power? Though those would let me get a little more technical with my riding which is a goal of mine. Also want something that I can ride up to north jersey without needing to put on the truck. I mean I guess putting it on the truck isn't a huge deal either.

IMO the wr is faster and lighter. My drz had around the same top speed but took longer to get there. Might've been a more comfortable seat, but that can be changed. I'd say ride mine and fabios and compare the two. Should make it easier than reading pages of db's arguing on the Internet.

Spotted a 2nd gen silver access cab today in Lumberton missing a grille and bumper - was it any of you DB's? If so

The WR is a sweet bike for sure, I looked at one when I was first looking at a dual sport but I felt the seat was too high for me in stock trim for a learner bike. A buddy road it for me to give it a shakedown and he thought it had nice power for a 250 though. I ended up getting a smokin' deal on a CRF250L with some mods and it's enough for me for now.

It is a tall bike. I lowered it an inch with the stock adjustments. Been playing with the idea of adding the yamalink lowering kit but I don't think it's necessary.

I'm really impressed with it for a 250. But I don't know what it's like when stock. I bought mine used and well modded.

Can you NJDB's just put turn signals and lights on a dirt bike and title it or does the "off-road only" title bone you guys too?

I wish it was easier to get around that in NY...

I don't have any first hand experience but I've heard you need a title to register a bike, but dirt bikes only come with manufacturers statements of origin.

Add brake, turn signals, and headlight. Then go to the DMV and get a title.

My 50 came with a title surprisingly. Thought it was weird.

    Thanx Mike!

Also found out at The BPF Shop that my cams are seized. Going to have to order some parts and revisit the cam tab mod.
