Uuuuuuggggghhhhh. I have an idea on how to deal with ISIS. They've got all those Toyota HiLux pick-em-ups.....So we send 'em enough lift kits to equip every one of 'em.....In less than 24 hours they'll be too sore to mess with anyone.

After spending a few hours crawling around on the driveway wrestling with the 40+ mph wind here yesterday, and chasing our youngest dog around the field next to the house, I'm having a tough time picking my feet up off the ground this morning. I don't feel "old" all the time, but when I do, I understand just what "old" is alll about!

OK...Enough whining. I did sleep in this morning....all the way to 0700! Went to bed an hour early and slept 2-1/2 hours late. Getting soft in my old age too....!

When Sandy gets up and moving, we'll take off and go find some place to have breakfast. Then a short drive in the country to revel in the fact our truck now rides like it's on a cloud! I was HOPING for "better", wasn't counting on "best"!

It's 54 degrees here already, sun just getting up above the horizon. Supposed to reach 70 this afternoon. Back in the 40's by Monday, so gotta take full advantage of this one wonderful day!

Hope y'all are doin' fine and that you have a great day too!

I'm jealous. My suspension stuff won't arrive until Monday because UPS can't get their act together. Next weekend is booked for other stuff, so I can't get under the truck until two weekends from now.

But it's good to know that the OME and 5100 front combo rides like a dream!

    I'm just curious.
Why does everyone want to lift their truck?
They are a pain in the ass to work on when dealing with warr and other issues.
I've asked some guys why and most of them say because I want something different.
Well if everyone does it is it really different ? Lol.
I can see if it's a special needs vehicle but really...
Figured I'd start a heated debate because in that kind of mood..
I'm gonna sit back now and :pccoffee::anonymous::popcorn:
Be safe and well today my friends.

Yeah, you guys don't seem like the Lifting Of Your Truck types to me. And geez, I'm 5'10" and use a step stool to wash the roof and still can barely reach the middle. I think the '16 looks great with the OEM stance, myself but I've seen some second generations that seem lower.

Mine is freshly washed and ready for date day. And groceries are bought and put away and the drycleaning is picked up too. Did I mention I'm a morning person ? :)

By a few inches, I'd say. Unless you're driving over tree stumps, I see no reason to lift a '16.

Yea I did a 1.5 inch front lift only for two reasons. I like the level look and upgraded front shocks and springs. With all honesty the ride is like butter. I would do it again.

 Morning all. This shift almost over, but one more tonight ... my long week.

Exactly what is a "post WWII art museum," ... simple as art created after WWII? Just curious, never heard that term, but I'm no art expert/critic either.

    Have a great time. :)

Since you asked the question, my suspension is stock, with airbags added to compensate my weak non-TSB leafs. Thinking about replacing my shocks with 5100s this Spring. What do you recommend for shock replacement?

Hope the lifestyle/diet changes are going well for you Mike.

I just added Air bags because mine squated so much with my camper. I can't wait to see how it does on our next trip.

The first tacoma I had was a 2wd with no mods, I ran that for 5 years and 100k and loved it. Then my friend and I started exploring Death Valley, I had never been but his Dad always took him out there. After the first run I was hooked. I got a 4wd and started exploring the national park, an amazing place. Most all of the mods I have done are in response to survival in the desert. The lift is around 3 inches to fit the tires and the armor is because I destroyed the stock bumpers trying to get to some of the remote locations.
I don't get the 12 inch lift, with blocks and spacers

Rob, the era of WWII is looked at in the art world as the separation point of modern art. Anything after the war is considered modern. So today, we're going to a modern art gallery. I've been to pretty much every art gallery in the DC museum system so this will be a new experience. It's a museum in a country setting out in Montgomery County. It's as popular for it's landscaping, gardens and the architecture of the buildings as much as the art works it contains. Since I'm very much into landscaping, it should be interesting but I'm sure I'll want to go back in the Spring once all the plants and flowers come back.

By the way, I'm a complex man. :) Art, poetry, flower gardening, travel, football, baseball, war movies, cars, and beer are some of my favorites things in life.

Have a good day, everyone !

I've had mine installed 5 yrs with no complaints; they have, and continue to, serve me well.

Thanks for the explanation. Sounds like a great day, enjoy it. Like Mike said :worthless:
