    Hi guys. not very truck savy just the basics, but dropped my skid plate to do some fluids and found this falling out. Can any one tell me what it is?

    Looks like a tool. No idea man, good luck! Fuzzy pictures aren't helping. Does it have any mechanical features?

    the 3 legs are attached to gears inside. when you spin the center all 3 spin 180 deg. And you are right it does look like a tool that would fit 3/8" drive in the center, although i did not check it for fit.

    Some kind of sweet oil filter remover maybe.

    Oil filter wrench tool it's used for the really stubborn filters and it will crush them getting them off keep it you might need it someday

    nice! I did mine a good bit, sometimes my inspection guy would or the steelership if i had it in for somthing and i did not want to mess with it....awesome guys thanks!
