What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

All the kits I fund are silver I need a dark gray or black

 

They have them in gray and black

 

Both great areas! I have camps on Aziscohos Lake in the Rangeley region and at Lily Bay on Moosehead. Sure makes for some enjoyable weekends.

Get the metra kit. I ordered it off Amazon. You can get cheaper but the metra has the same textured look instead of just smooth like cheaper ones

 

Added BedRug Tailgate mat and WeatherTech in-channel window deflectors. No more helicopter noise when the windows are cracked.

Bath and oil changes for the family roadsters

 

Oil change... vavoline regular oil with wix filter

 

I still that sound with the window deflectors only way I figure to get it to stop is roll down or Crack another window.

 

To be honest I haven't tested them too much as it's been kinda cold here. But so far no problem, if the noise was there it was markedly reduced. I used to to have to crack the slider to make the noise go away. What I look forward to the most is ventilating the cab while it's parked in the summer heat and not having to worry about the sudden New England squalls wreaking their havoc on the interior!

 

But the helicopter noise is cool. Makes you feel like you are being chased by a super secret agent in a helicopter.

 

And here I thought I was the only one who thought that when it makes the chopper sounds.

 

O i call it window bass/ poor mans subwoofer (same physics as a ported enclosure)
