Chevy 63 Swap and BAMF shock relocation on @TAZ2014Taco 's truck at @Timbo89 's house

locksmith wants to charge almost $500 to fix it....i told her she should prob go to a car repair place, but they said only locksmith can do it, so i'd like to try to help her out she's a coworker, I even tried to take her to the dealer today after i got off work, but she didn't have the ONLY key to her car, her friend did (epic fail!!!)

Ahhhhhh no.you need to be able to turn the ign switch to release the pin to release the retainer. To rotate the cyl in line with the slot to slide it out.

Don't copy the old key. New only cut by vin. I pretty sure it's going to fix it by your info.

 

oh yea that's true, oh no, we weren't gonna copy old key, we were going to have new one cut by VIN, we needed her paperwork (title and reg) which happened to be in the car (i also mentioned title in the car is not best idea)

 

Yea title in the car is a thief dream. Lol. Good luck.

After today. I'm really reconsidering my 63" spring swap price. @TAZ2014Tacowill be the last one at the price of 250 (plus the steps for the 4runner). The amount of work to do this kind of swap is alot. @Hugopreston sorry man but I'll be upping my price after my materials and all I'm not making much over 200.

Price: 400

I do 90% of the work with the owner if possible doing grinding and helping align thing up.

Hope anyone that's wanting a swap canunderstand.

Still very fair as it would still be cheaper than something like All Pro expos plus shipping.

 

How much are those? You also have to consider the Ruff Stuff Kit and springs themselves. Thats $300 right there. Then bushings, outriggers, other misc. stuff. I did the math somewhere on here on what I spent

 

the standards are $450 iirc and the expos should be $550. But @Timbo89 I think that's only fair, there is a lot of work that goes into the swap

 

Finally! Lights! or well light right now lol, the pods still need to go on

 

Total of the expos was about 900.
