Had Toyota make fresh keys off the VIN# not even close, pulled the Pass side lock and it's
the same code they used. Anyone else have problems with Toyota key codes?

Sometimes after years of use locks start to wear right along with the key. So when youve got a brand new key all of a sudden, with sharp edges and high points and such the lock can sometimes not really like it.
    Could be a possibility?
I take it theres no key to compare it to since you had to have one cut with the vin#?

Did you happen to ask why the other dealer could have got it so wrong?

Got a digit wrong was what he said had to have happened. First one wanted $45.00 to cut it off the VIN second one used the same code and did it cheap. Guess were I will go for parts in the future.
