You 5th gens see the new relentless front bumper prototype? I'm pretty game for one of those.

I like and I don't like that it isn't a direct replacement. I like that because less weight for sure though. Looks like approach angle is improved as well.

I need to see it completed and coated.

I don't like the fact it looks like they literally cut the front end in half. If you look closely by the fender you can see where it looks like they messed up while cutting

That doesn't have to do with the bumper though. Just the cut.

No. They aren't done with it. They are prototyping it right now. They said they will probably be done welding it up today and coat it for a finished product soon.

Hey on a random note, When I get my rear bumper, should I coat it black or color match my dark bronze wheels? I think color match might look amazing, but it could also look stupid... In my head it looks awesome.

    For reference:

True, but if I were looking at that, I wouldn't want to chop my bumper

I'm mixed on the 4runner fronts. I really like the look of the stock one so a new front bumper will probably be the last thing I end up doing. I've pretty much decided on a relentless rear bumper though. I think they did a good job. No swing out for me though.

It is not the locker that chirps it is the tires. Since the inside tire has to go faster than the outside tire to make the turn it will lock the locker(it sense "slip") and that will cause the tires to go the same speed and chirp the tires.

How does the power compare to the 4runner? wouldnt the 4runner make more power theoretically?

I was going to but living in the city is rough with a swing out.

I'm going to keep a stock spare under the truck still. And a full size spare to throw on the roof rack if I'm going on an expo. My girlfriend won't drive the thing if it has a swing out and one of my deals with her when I bought it was no swing out. If somebody makes an absolutely gorgeous bumper with one, I might be able to change her mind, but so far, nothing.

A stock size can limp me out of wherever I am. And I have AAA if I really need to be towed somewhere. I'd rather have a swing so we will see.

I think 33's fit in stock location with the 3rd Gens.

Or just start your own group buy...
I highly doubt it. My spare is a skinny 32 and I can get a finger between the tire and the panhard.
