Sorry, but I don't miss it.

I saw on tv some guy trying to get his snowblower unjammed by sticking his hand in the chute, doctor's weren't sure if they could save it. :der:

Hey Guys, I did a video on the BakFlip HD cover on a new 2016 Tacoma. It has the option to keep your bed rail system with the new brackets. Looks like it makes a tight fit and is a lot better than some of the other covers available. Here it is: https://youtu.be/ZkIiGqkeMiA

I have a customer that is on the Forums here that might be able to help you with that. Basically you need to find one up here that you can buy from a customer. As a dealership we are not allowed to sell them for cross border shipping.

Will the Canadian version of the 2017 TRD Pro be available in Double Cab Long Box? If not will dealers be able to upgrade the DCLB with OEM TRD Pro parts?

Has it been confirmed that the TRD Pro is coming to Canada?

What's the best undercoating/rust proofing in Canada?
any one have experience? dealer or aftermarket?
    What should we be paying?

At $699 from the dealer it's pretty pricey.
I did Krown undercoating on the gals car, seems fine but leached out for a year. I'm not really keen on having to get it done every year.

If it comes here it'll be 50k easy and I doubt dealers will move off msrp. That's a ton of money for a midsized truck.

Meh, I like it. If you build it, they will come kind of senerio. We test drove and nearly bought the 2016 4 runner limited @56k (loaded, with add-on's) but wife likes the Tacoma better, but I wanted at least the rear locker in the quad cab (which isn't offered to Canucks, thanks Toyota...) Only the access cab off-road package. So if the Tacoma 4runner TRD PRO with 4 doors truely lands up here, I'll be in line. Plus the PRO grill fixes the only thing I didn't like about the Tacoma we test drove (visually, besides the no off-road package on the 4 door), the chrome cheese grader just wasn't doing it for me. The grills an easy change (the SR looks great imo) but a factory rear e-locker and all the PRO-goodies is what would sell me even at a guesstimated 50k.

I can get the "I want it stock at whatever price argument." More power to you to buy it if it comes here. My comment was simply clarifying my own feelings that I'm pretty offended that we can't get the DC anything TRD OR in Canada but Toyota might release that truck in a 50 K TRD Pro configuration. Their excuse is that the DC OR wouldn't sell up here, so then why bring up the TRD Pro? Talk about a cash grab. Especially since Toyota still hasn't moved off the +4% interest rate on the Tacoma over 5 years which means most young buyers will end up paying 60 K for the truck at the end of the day .

I'll be throwing in air lockers in my truck next year. This year is for a new bumper and front suspension. Honestly, depending on your use, aftermarket air lockers are a better option that an electronic rear locker and ATRAC from what I've seen in the bush. I know they changed the Tacoma rear end quite a bit in the 2016 so that's not an option on the third gens yet, AFAIK, which sucks.

    Look at post 950.
The Salesman from where I bought my truck from says that there is a rumour that the TRD Offroad Double Cab may be offered as a 2017 model in Canada.

Oh I feel ya. Trust me, Toyota's "Customer Assistance Centre" is well aware of my feelings that we weren't offered the TRD OR package in the 4door ;) If they did, I'd be a new Toyota driver today. Here is the response I received:

As if. Regulatory requirements? It's offered in the access cab! Best suited for Canada's challenging climatic conditions? uh, please, that's WHY I want the OR package.

I've owned factory e-lockers before, I don't mind them, when they work with the factory traction control and all that, they are fairly amazing.

I'm well familiar with air lockers, my other truck has front and rear air lockers, from factory :)

I've seen that post. Salesmen tell people lots of things. Just look around here at the stories about what this or that Tacoma salesperson said. I remember before the third gen was confirmed and guys were talking about how their sales guy confirmed that the Tacoma would have a V8 or some other option that never came. I personally had salesmen tell me you can't get ATRAC on the Tacoma in Canada when I went on a third gen test drive:facepalm:. No offense to the salespeople who roam these boards and do give out good information, but for every decent knowledgeable trucks salesperson there are 5 who are willing to make up whatever they have to in order to get the conversation going with someone towards a possible sale.

Until I start seeing some confirmations online that Toyota is bringing the TRD OR DCSB auto up here I'll remain convinced that they won't do it for whatever reason. The other thing is that bringing the DCLB TRD OR auto wouldn't matter at all to me if they keep it manual only like the DCSB has been up here in the past. I have the DCLB Sport in the 2nd gen and if I buy a new truck I want a shorter truck in the automatic that is more offroad friendly.

Toyota should just stop jerking us around and give us the same lineup as the USA like most other car companies do. I get it that it's cool for some that we get the ACLB 6 speed which is desirable for some but the DCSB would sell a lot more units up here.

It's total bullshit because the same DCSB configuration can be found in the DCSB TRD Sport with a 6 speed they do sell here. The only difference between the Sport and the OR are some electronic gadgets and mechanical options that have absolutely nothing to do with any regulatory requirements.

I remember last summer watching a interview with the Vice President of Toyota Canada at the launch in Tacoma Washington. During the interview they were riding in a TRD Offroad Double Cab. I was thinking the vice president has had first hand experience riding in the Offroad but it is not offered here. WTF!

I get this really bad feeling about Toyota corporate Canada. They seem to literally not give two shits about what they sell as long as it keeps selling. I have a buddy who owns a stake in a few Ford dealerships. His dealership has meetings every year, and sometimes more often, to talk with Ford Corporate about what they want. Last year there was a big gathering where every single dealer asked for a new small truck to replace the Ranger to gain back the sales they felt they lost to fleet customers and truck owners that wanted a smaller truck. Guess what is coming back in 2017...

I don't get that same impression from Toyota Corperate. I went to a Tacoma event and the Toyota Canada people there new even less about the truck they were showing off, the 2016 before it came out, then those of us who are from here. I think TRD is on base. I mean the new TRD Pro basically has most of the options that people whined for on the last truck (Fox suspension, factory LEDs, real skid plates, etc). Why can't Toyota Canada figure it out that they aren't selling the trucks that a large segment of their market wants. I hope they do bring the TRD OR DC here and with an automatic or else my next truck won't likely be from Toyota. That makes me sad because I really love the Tacoma I have and would be in favor of keeping the same name plate around.

I'm in the exact same boat. I can get the FX4 package (rear locker, few other things) on nearly any F150. Heck I think you can get an elocker on the 2wd F150 (don't quote me on that, thought I read it) why I can't I just get the OR package on the DC toyota? Not a ford fan by any means but at least they are offering the option.

Set me up with the DCLB (or SB, but I'd prefer the LB) and TRD OR package and I'd be in the dealership Monday with deposit. I need the DC and I think a lot of other's do as well. Just hoping the TRD Pro is available in that configuration.

They have to be getting sick of my emails by now, I inquired about the TRD Pro minutes after the announcement in the USofA:
