    That's a sweet looking ride JDTaco. I like the leveled or just a slight lift look. Maybe next year...

    I'm looking for a OEM TRD aluminum skid plate for my 09 Prerunner. If anyone has a slightly used one laying around I'll gladly pay a reasonable price plus shipping for it. I found one on line for just under 200 bucks delivered but I thought I'd check the used marketplace. The Toyota part number is PT212-35075. I live in Southern Maryland and would travel a reasonable distance to pick one up. Thanks...

    CAM in your list of favorite things ya forgot to mention your truck and shoveling snow
    Sounds like you had a great day, the weather today really was nice and a great day to be outside. We had the grandkids for most of the day, I did manage to get in a 6 mile run/walk. Between the kids and the exercise I'm tired!

    It was a great day, Jeff. Wow, was almost hot out there during the walk of the outdoor exhibits of the museum. And hahaha... shoveling snow. And when I said "Cars", I meant automotive vehicles, my truck included. :) Should have been more specific. ;)

    :wave: evening boys

    :rant: :annoyed: changed the plugs in my truck today :rant: :annoyed: had the passenger side done in 15 minutes.... the back two on the drivers side in another half hour then 3 stinking hours trying to get the last one done :mad: but it is done!!! Then was going to do the throttle body/MAF sensor and couldn't find the write up I was looking for :pout: so called it a day.... came inside and first search I did, came up with the write up I was looking for :rolleyes: Was getting dark anyway, so just shut the truck up and came inside. My finger tips are all sore from those stoopid clips on the coil packs. Was warm out and nice.

    X4 hope coldiron is ok

    Hope the date went well Cam

    I still do a fair amount of off roading.....The places we go require a reasonable amount of ground clearance. Stock isn't quite enough. I like a good sized tire that just won't fit well with stock suspension. That, along with the fact I'm 6'-4" and a nice 3" lift actually makes the truck EASIER for me to get in/out.

    My "different" is, I leave the chrome on mine.....Not into the "murdered out" look like EVERYONE does so they can be "unique".

    Most of all, I like the LOOK of a REASONABLY lifted truck.

    Now.....For those who wonder what Bilstein 5100's and OME 885X coils do for a Tacoma;

    They make it ride better than any 4wd truck I've ever rode in. We took a drive north today. About 45 miles up into Indiana, close to where I was born and raised. We went there for lunch at a winery we visit regularly. Most of the trip, probably 35 miles of the drive is on a rough concrete interstate with 65mph speed limit. Traffic normally runs closer to 75. With the stock TRD coils and shocks, it was a rough ride. My wife and I took turns commenting on just how smooth the NEW ride was.... I couldn't possibly be any happier!

    :yes::yes::yes::yes:
    I do them all in 15 min.
    :yes::yes::yes:
    Coil packs are pretty easy. I don't use that push area of the clip. I use a tool to lift the lock from the back side. Need to be carefull or you can snap the clip off but it's so much easier.

    Well, then why didn't you do them for me??? How the heck do you do the drivers front one?? The only "hard" part was getting the clip off the coil pack.

    I use a tool to lift the other side of the clip like I said.
    I take the bolt out of the coil to move it around if nec.
    The connector comes about half way off.
    Then I take a screwdriver against the edge of the top portion of the connector and push it off moving the coil pack as nec. Sometimes lifting the coil helps. Once you get the hang of it it's no biggie
    The wiring is kinda folded over itself under the front

    Even with the Duratrac's the ride was pretty smooth on pavement? I'm thinking about getting these same tires, when my Michelins come up for changing. My suspension will be 5100's, OME 884x, 3 leaf AAL's. I should go up about 2" from stock. Nothing too crazy. Good enough to get me through some rough trails.

    Even with the Duratracs...... When I got the truck, it had Yokohama Geolanders on it. They rode a little smoother and quieter than the Duratracs, but the Goodyears aren't all that bad. And with the new suspension, they're a very "civil" ride.....

    That's all I'm after. No aspirations of turning my truck into Bigfoot, but I do want decent off road performance on the relatively mild stuff I usually find myself on.

    Sunday Funday.....Yeah riiiiight. @ work already. At least traffic is light @ 4:30AM on a Sunday. Just those poor S.O.B.'s like me that have to work and those who are crawling home right after the bars close. Tough to say which one has the most distressed looks on their collective faces....

    Anyway, Howdy, Good Morning. Happy Daytona 500 Day.

    Good Morning, All ! Hope everyone has a fantastic day, even if you do have to work. Me... have to go in and get some injury evaluations done using overtime. Not enough time in the work week to review 600 pages of medical bills and reports and all the other work that goes into each and every evaluation.

    As promised, a few pics of my truck with the new goodies installed (roof rack, SR grille, side steps):

    I may be doing a roof rack soon. I bought an oem Toyota rack off Craigslist a few weeks ago, but I'm contemplating one of 3 different aftermarket racks.

    Your truck looks awesome!

    Thanks, Bluegrass. Yeah, I think the roof rack enhances the look of the Tacoma. I haven't put my finger on exactly why... making it look taller ? Whatever it is, I like the look and every now and then it will come in handy functionally.
