Cool, got the system tight again, took it for a test run and actually got the front to lock up, but they faded again...still no leaks. Going to try a new set of pads.:fingerscrossed:

I had a chain snap on me once at work and come flying toward the cab. It's a real oh sh!t moment. 80,000 lbs loader pulling a 85,000 lbs truck.

Ok, so I held off on the new pads for now. The parts guy looked at me like I was trying to cross breed a cat with a dog when I said I had EBC rotors and was looking for different pads.
The new calipers did make an improvement but nothing I would call stellar. He suggested that maybe they haven't fully bedded in like I think they have. After reading through this...

    http://ebcbrakes.com/articles/how-to-bed-in-your-new-brakes-for-streeturban-driving-2/

I did have that blue line (check mark #4) on the outer edge last night and thought it was from excessive heat. So I'll leave them alone for now and start driving more aggressively (parts guy suggestion) and see what happens. They do come back after they cool off.:notsure:

Took it for a run up Cameron Pass, hit the brakes hard every few miles both ways and holy crap if it didn't actually make a difference.:D
I think they still have a way to go, sometimes they grab hard, others not so much, but overall much, much better.

Any of you people ever do Hole in the Rock trail to the end? If so would you recommend I pull a small trailer with RTt or get it on the roof and forget the trailer? TIA, I'm guessing @NYCO has

I'm planning on doing it this spring with @NYCO before Rock Therapy. and if I remember right Bob said that an expo trailer would be fine... just don't remember where I read it.

What's up guys. Been a member for a little while doing little things here and there to the truck. I picked up some Tundra coils a while back and have been contemplating using them for the Tacoma. I have read up on it and have a pretty good idea of what lift Im looking at getting out of it. I've read mixed reviews and while working on a high school budget, this seemed like a cheaper alternative to a Toytec lift. I currently have an OME lift of some kind and Dakar springs out back. My overall goal is going to be 255/85/16. So my question to you all is what you think of it compared to a brand lift?

Brakes aren't working well? Drive more aggressively.

    Solid.
