Idk why they put these cheap alarms in these trucks, but spent about an hour today fixing the stock alarm.

Looks worse than what it was, but the damn alarm wouldn't let you start the truck half the time even though you unlocked it. Looking at the alarm I can see why its some cheap Korean product, wasn't impressed.

For sure, but i think thats why I was able to get the truck so cheap, looks like the dealer that had it tried to figure out what the issue was. We could tell someone was in there before because they marked things to keep track and few clips were broken. Just taking our time we were able to figure it out.

The alarm randomly wouldn't let the truck start. You would unlock the doors, get in turn the key, and the alarm would go off. After looking at everything I'm pretty sure the ECU for the alarm is broken. I still need to take it a part and look at the board, but it wouldn't surprise me, i've seen toys that have better quality.

Well the day started out good, got the front end taken apart.

After pulling the driver's side CV, noticed one of the "spring clips" on the needle bearing was broken. Hoped to replace that when doing gears but looks like I will be calling ECGS on monday. So stopped here for the day. Plan to get the spindles welded up tomorrow or monday.

Got the 35 MT/R's in today and mounted on the SR8 and just rolled them into place to check out how it looked,

I think the dark bronze with the machined lip is going to look great on the sliver truck.

Yeah for sure, was hoping to at least get the spindles welded and axles done today :(, but looks like that will be next weekend.

Get to meet @bobsuruncle tomorrow to pick up a spanner for the shocks.

Well, it was a slow weekend. Started taking the CV's apart and the circlip got damaged, toyota didn't have any in stock so have to wait until next week to finish building the those. Fedex dropped off the ECGS needle bearing replacement and puller tool, so started to remove that, and for some reason the needle bearing was pushed to far in, and couldn't get the puller tool in. So had to go buy a slide hammer to get it out.

So the only progress this weekend was welding up the spindle gussets, and getting the needle bearing replacement in.

Also forgot to say, got the shackle flip in from @ARCHIVE and pretty impressed

Hey man, the spring clip that broke on you when you were pulling your CV's out. Was it the one that's in the outer CV joint? If so, do you have a toyota part number for that?

The part number I have is 43425-04030 they were $3.00 from my local toyota dealer. It's for the circlip on the axle for the outer birfield.
