I'm looking to tint my windows pretty soon and I wanted to know what the legal tint limit is for Washington? I want to get 5% for all of my windows except my windshield.

    Do you mean 95%?

Yeah, not legal. Which would be common sense as you probably wouldn't be able to see out of them. I've not seen tint darker than 90%

    Most minimum tints are 30%.

Tint laws are usually in reference to how much light must pass through and tint darkenss is described by how much light cannot pass through.

I got the tint done. The guy told me I could get 5% on the back windows but for the front windows I had to get 35%.

Thanks. I just got the truck about a week ago so doing this small improvement made me really happy plus the guy only charged me $175 while other places were trying to charge me close to $300.

How long have you had it?

I wanted to go as dark in the back as possible for my steekers lol but was afraid to because of night time visibility.
I went with the second darkest and I feel like I need to do the reverse light mod to see. How is it for you?
    I like the full blackout

Also did you spring for the ceramic tint? I did, shit is awesome

Wow, Washington is lenient! MA is 35% max all around, although from the factory most vehicles are closer to 20% in the rear.

The tint has only been on for 3 days and I've had the truck for a week. I can see pretty well at night but I guess that depends on how well you can see at night. I got use to it because I had my back window blacked out with my Ram 1500 and the fact that I now have a reverse camera helps a lot.

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
Here in PA it's no tint on the front sides at all. That being said, people do it all the time. I had a medium tint on my wife's car (front doors on a 4 door car) and she got stopped. I had 48 hours to take it to the Police station minus the tint or pay a fine.

I just had my front windows matched to the rear by Midnight Window Tinting here in WA (Bellevue). They did a great job, but the tint is ever-so-slightly darker than the rear windows. Slightly annoying... might have it redone.

I did 20% all the way around, except the windshield of course. With 20% added to the rear sides and back, that put me a limo. Here in AZ, the legal fronts are 35% so I am a little darker but not enough to be pulled over. The sun just roasts us here, limo is huge to keep your truck somewhat cool.

Is it really close to the tint on the back doors? It looks like it, just wondering what it looked like in person.

In person you can definitely tell the difference because you can see through the front windows but the back windows you have to pretty much put your face on the window to see in just a little bit.

I have 5% on my backs and 20% on the fronts. Absolutely love it. Plus a fat sun strip on the windshield.

I did exactly the same for the heat aspect. I also chose the ceramic option which was pricey but has now paid for itself thanks to the heat relief. I have a law enforcement friend who works for another county and said he couldn't tell without putting a meter on it. Had it nearly 3 years now and no issues at inspection.

Had dealer tint front door Windows on my access cab when I bought it. 35% on the front. Bought this tint at Walmart which is 20% and tinted over the factory tint on rear window, access cab Windows and sun shade on front windshield.
