I came across a decent price on a floor jack that has a max 21" lift height. Is that tall enough to let me lift the front of a 09 4x4 w/o having to crip it up? It would make things sooooo much faster for me vs. using my shorter jack.

Should do. You won't get much lift off it though. Depends if you want it just to change the oil, or do you plan on taking tires off? With 265x75 tires I barely have an Inch of clearance to take my tires off with the down travel of my stock suspension.

I have a two ton napa floor jack. I just went out and raised it all the way up and measured it at 21" also.

I have a 2WD pre-runner and so far all I have used it for on mine is to rotate tires. I jack on the center of the frame and it has enough travel to raise both wheels off the ground enough to get them off. I do not have any lift or 5100s, just the factory bilsteins and 16" tires.

That's some good info to know Krazie. My future upgrades will be that size tire and then eventually some 5100s. Man, I don't know if even using jackstands is going to help me rotate at that point.

That's really where my issue is too is the Jackstands not being big enough. I might have to get his and her jack stands. One for the Jeep and one Tacoma.

Sounds like what I am looking for, then. I just measured my 2 ton and it tops out at 13"... Fits nicely under the wife's car that has the opposite problem, though.

I believe the pre-runner and te 4X4 have the same stance so I think I will give it a try.

    I have a 4x4 TRD OR with 5100's and 265/75/16 tires.

My 3 ton floor jack has a maximum height of 19.75" - and I don't come close to maxing it out.

For the rear set the jack on the center of the rear end (bottom of rear end).

For the front there is a jacking point near the oil pan. Can't miss it. Its between the two skid plate for anyone who has the Off Road. If you don't have the Off Road, its just behind your front skid plate.

Both locations can get my tires several inches off the ground without maxing out the jack.

Does anybody know of a 3 ton that goes above 21"? with my 4" spindles, coilovers and 285s it seems to barely get it off, it would be nice to get a lttle more if possible.
