Came from (still have) 1990 Nissan 300ZXTT. I needed 4 doors and the ability to haul stuff. It's hard to put a child seat in the back seat of a car that has no back seat.

No regrets coming from a 2015 Chevy Colorado V6.

Came from a 2012 Rav4 base AWD V6.. only thing I miss is the smooth (and much stronger) acceleration. Happy with my Taco

I used to have an 03 Lightning, and I also sported a beat up old ranger at one point. Bunch of other toys. Most recently I have my 09 Camry that I let my wife start driving, and I took her 98 RAV4 that she had owned since new. The RAV4 was just old and kind of sketchy, so I felt more comfortable having my wife drive the newer Camry. Eventually traded the RAV4 in on the Tacoma. The RAV4 was just at the end of its life and I wanted something newer and more reliable. The main problem with the RAV4 was rust that made everything impossible to do, and an oil pan that was leaking from rusting through was a bit of a concern. Definitely nice to be back in a truck, and I love the manual transmission.

I test drove the Chevy SS a few months ago while considering which direction I wanted to go with a new car. I love the idea, but no one had a manual transmission to drive and it felt pretty disconnected from the road. Or maybe I'm just not experienced enough to appreciate it. Pretty sweet ride though, I imagine the mods to your g8 make it even more brutal.

Came from a 2001 Ford Explorer SportTrac 4x4. So really just an update for me. Very similar platform on the surface. 4 door, 4x4, short bed, locking cover, etc. Noticing though that my ST had more room in the cab. Back seat legroom in particular. But coming from a 15yr old 150k Ford to this new Taco is pretty sweet.

Felt disconnected as far as steering or suspension? The SS has electric steering which I despise compared to the old hydraulic stuff.

I came off a '13 Mazda 3 with 66k miles on it. moved closer to work and wanted to "start over" on my daily driver. Before that I had a 2000 Avalon that was traded in with 250k miles. couldn't imagine going that far on the Mazda, that's what drew me back to Toyota

Came from a 1982 Mercedes 300SD with the 3L 5cyl OM617 diesel engine in it. It's like driving a cruise ship down the road. Now it's going to be a winter project. The body is in great shape but the interior is shot.

Well it seems no matter what the previous vehicle anyone has had, car, van, truck, suv, no one seems to be unhappy. With all the positive feedback (thanks a bunch guys) it helps people like me or other people in the same predicament hearing from people who switched.

I work on them on a daily basis and they suck. Might as well by a Malibu/Impala. Nothing truck like about them

Door seals leaked, a steel cable for a dip stick, gas door mechanism was cheaply made, also the seat lever was made real cheap also, the shoddy job GM employees done installing the vinyl flooring. Those are some of the things I can think of at the moment.

Wish I took a picture. My taco did a great job pulling a dead canyon into the shop. It gets to yank In an Escalade tomorrow

2015 Tacoma $6000 more bought me my 16 with $3000 more options in the Premium and tech w/JBL I did not have on the 15. So it cost me $3000 to upgrade after selling my 15 privately.

I really like how the resale is on the Tacoma vs other smaller trucks. I see used ones almost going for new prices, they must be selling because they don't last long.
