Dual Ham Radio, CB, BlueSea FuseBlock, additional USB ports, two plugs to power refrigerators, solar.
The fridge slide is super nice. I created a simple test platform for it today. I am still trying to decide what I want to build for my FJ. Wife still wants one of the back seats in so I can't build a complete platform for the back. I am going to create a "L" design for the time being so my ArkPark can be mounted behind the fridge slide.

Slide, a couple of FrontRunner boxes and my grill. Perfect fit and I allowed for space around the slide so there is ventilation around the fridge.

Received my fridge today. Had some family members who had to pick up some of their own packages at our US mailbox so I got them to grab my fridge. Had to pay GST (tax) but didn't get charged duty which would have been another 8%. I also didn't have to burn any fuel to pick it up so I'm not too upset about having to pay the sales tax.

One thing I noticed with my fridge is that the basket is extremely hard to remove. It gets caught on the corner/crossbar. Is there a trick to removing it? Is my basket/fridge defective? Anyone else have this issue?

Here's some pics, I hope they do it justice.

You can see the corners of the basket get caught on the lip inside the fridge.

My basket is a pretty tight fit as well, especially with the divider in there. I don't think it's defective, pushing the handles of the basket towards each other seems to help wiggle it out of there a little easier.

Went across the border to pick mine up today. Got back across no duty or taxes! Bought some groceries and threw them in there while we were there. For some reason I thought that our cig lighter sockets are always powered, but they are only on with ACC. No big deal though, I already have a new socket and the wiring to wire a new one in to my aux fuse block.
Every time I left the truck for an hour or so and came back the built in temp gauge had barely changed, so that was great!

I'm just running my stock battery currently... Not sure yet if that's going to turn into an issue. I eventually want dual battery, but for now it doesn't seem bad. Maybe just grab one of those cheap voltage metres on Amazon and keep an eye on it.

I kind of regret buying the base plate though... Doesn't honestly seem to have much of a point. I haven't looked too closely at it yet though if I'm honest. I was under the impression that you could bolt the plate some where (the back of the seat) and then easily attach or detach the fridge from there?

I'm glad I'm not the only one. Not that big of a deal, I just wish it was a bit easier to remove. Removing the centre divider and pushing the handles in definitely helps.

You fucker. Cost me $80 in GST. Saved some money in gas by not having to pick it up myself though.
What border crossing did you use?

That's sort of how I feel about my mounting plate too. I haven't had a good look at it either but I was hoping there is some way of easily detaching it.

Has anyone else played around with their mounting plate?

I just figured since it was Italian made I should be thankful that's all that's wrong with it. A jaded comment perhaps, but lest we forget anything made by Fiat. Soon as I figure out how to open the light cover, I'm getting rid of that annoying deep blue light that really doesn't help.

    Subtle.

Essentially it says a fridge should be set to any temp 40F & below. The ideal temp for a freezer is 0F.

Given the guidelines of the FDA paper, I'm going to test the fridge for time from +33F to +40F & then to a max of 50F which is the ideal holding temp for bananas & tomatoes.

Since my initial post at the top 20FEB16@1504, it has taken just over 25 hours on Max to chill the ice block from +12F to -6F. It's interesting to note that even though the thermostat suggests -8F is a possibility, temp can't be reduced below -6F unless the compartment is completely empty.

Based on the previous rise in temp time, I'm expecting the temp rise to be:

from -6F to +32F to be 71 hrs. (0F is a #, so it gets counted)
    from +33F to +40F, 12 hrs.
    from +40F to +50F, 16hrs 48min.
    or +1F every ~1hr 42min.

I'll verify the expected time/temp above in future posts. Again this was chilled using Max on 110V/60Hz AC with an ambient temp of +70F. I'm also not opening it up randomly to simulate me getting a sammich or beverage of varying toxicity. Think of it as transfer via highway of a Blue Crab catch from Key West, FL to Neah Bay, WA. or Moose fillets from Madawaska, ME to San Ysidro, CA.
Hows that for a road trip idea? With fuel prices the lowest since the current regime came to power, now is the time to consider it. :notsure:

I was originally going to write, think of it as a transfer via highway of freshly harvested kidneys from Reynosa, MX to Abbotsford, BC but since you can't freeze them & use them that would only test the fridge. Some might think it would be insensitive too... I guess. :anonymous:

Anybody make your own drop down fridge slide or tilting fridge slide yet? I've got a plan and list for supplies to start one.
