I learned my lesson. I bought the 15 Colorado outright traded it 6 months later and it had just over 2,000 miles on it. I lost just over $4,500 when I traded it in for my 16 Tacoma. Should of bought a Toyota in the 1st place.

Not the first person to hear say their exploder won't die.
Had a buddy with an 01 exploder 2 door with manual trans RWD and that thing wouldn't give up. We tried to beat the shit out of it so many times on camping trips. He bought it for 200 bucks and drove it 5 years -no issues and ended up donating it for a $500 dollar tax reciept. Lol

My first pickup was a 92 Ranger, 4 banger, 2wd MT. Wore that truck out and bought me a nice 2004 Ranger Edge Plus. I loved that truck, 4wd, 6 cyl, and big for a ranger. Then marriage and kid on the way comes and it is time to trade her in (the truck, not the wife) for something with a backseat. Went through 2 Jeep Liberty's and hated them both, always wanting to go back to a truck from the day I drove off the lot! The Jeeps were cheap and I did not have the money to buy my dream truck, so kept the Jeep around for a few years.

My FIL passed away last year and the chance came to buy his 2007 Frontier out of his estate dirt cheap. So after spending $1,500 on the truck and putting another grand into it, the transmission started to crap out. After much thinking and getting prices on tranny's (for the car, not off main st.), we decided to trade the Jeep and Truck for New Taco or used Tundra. Got to the dealership and there was a perdy little DCLB sitting there that somebody ordered and it arrived the day before. Supposedly they decided they didn't want it, so it came home with me that day!

That, and the suspension seemed a lot smoother than the 135i m-sport I was driving. Which was considerably more comfortable, but left me wanting more. I'm sure there were some settings I could have dorked around with, but in the 20 minute test drive I didnt get too involved in that stuff.

Yup, and the reviews indicate it is quite well sorted for a car of that size.

Haha, you must love them. I like the old toyota trucks almost got an old one for my first truck a long time ago. Don't remember the year, but it had a 4 banger 4x4, the deal breaker was no a/c that's a must in Tx

I've heard hit and miss with the new 6.7 sucks you've had problems with it, the old 7.3 had all the Ford fans spoiled. It's kinda like when I bought my 6.0 powerstroke, all I heard was bad and it was a pile of Obama! Well after 95k miles all I've done is change the oil and filters been a solid truck

Haha. 2003 Honda Element 5 speed manual. 285,000 miles. Still original clutch. But it was time for a new one. Keeping the Element as a "beater".

I test drove a Colorado. At 50 mph, the hood started to flutter like a drunken butterfly. I decided right there GM hadn't gotten their quality up yet. Also, the Tacoma was the ONLY truck I could find that offered a manual transmission at a high trim level. Don't get me started about the JBL system, though

From what I read online about ride and handling the GM twins seems too be like a car with a Z71 sticker. Tried too take the truck out of the truck, where Toyota improved the same truck too make it a better truck? You guys that have owned the Colorado can correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll play. After an abysmal Ford experience for the past 9 years, I finally had enough last week when my expedition left me stranded AGAIN for the 4th time in the past year. $150 to tow out of a parking garage and to the repair shop and just over $900 to replace the fuel pump, I made the decision to go buy a new Taco the next day.

The expedition is now for sale and replaced with this sweetie-pie...

    I came from a 2013 Ford Escape Ecoboost and 2003 F-150.
The Escape was an SE 1.6L loaded with everything but leather. I loved the huge sunroof but hated everything else about it. I bought it a year ago at ~21k miles, traded in at ~38k miles. In that time, it was at Ford 3 different times for warranty work, two of those times were for the Ecoboost engine. It also didn't get the best MPG, 23-24 in winter and 24-25 during the summer. Every other vehicle I've owned has achieved at least the listed "combined" mpg, and most have been close to the highway mpg in the same driving conditions. With the mechanical issues and not liking it I made the decision to wash my hands of her.

The F-150 was and still is a great truck for what it is. It's a V6 2WD regular cab. Has about 190k miles on it right now and still runs great, but with no back seat and that many miles I couldn't justify trying to daily drive it so she is going too.

Plus dropping from 2 vehicles to 1 is a money saver.
