I didn't see an answer to your question. I did the same thing so I'll give it to you. I reattached the emblems using 3M emblem tape. I cut out the tape with an exacto knife to perfectly match the perimeter of the emblem. Took s while but it was worth it. I tried to dip with them on the truck but it didn't turn out perfect. I have ocd big time when it comes to stuff like that. It had to be perfect. Getting the dip out of the "a" caused problems.

Does it ride better now? How did you compress the springs?

Nope. No badges. No decals. Not knocking the look with. It's your truck. Make it what you want I hated knocking my fingers and knuckles on the badges when I washed and waxed. Especially when it's 34 degrees out. It smarts! image.jpg

Yes it is. Moving to San Diego soon just to avoid the road salt. Sometimes wish I went with the bright white. But then....No. fortunately washing my truck is calming and therapy to me. Weird only works when I wash my truck though.

I keep saying I wish I would have gotten black so I could do a different color wheel, but I love my truck lol.

And I thought I was serious about keeping my truck clean and beautiful ! haha

San Diego is my dream place to live. Too bad my company has no office there. Maybe in retirement.

Picking up the truck this week. The salesman said he would ensure they did not mount the front license plate. Does anyone remember the alternative attachments being used to mount the front plate?

Googled 'no drill front license plate' and got lots of opportunities. Anyone tried SlyBrackets?

Someone on here mounted a hinge underneath and mounted the plate to it, try searching on front plate on he site.

    Found it for you

I hope the dealer will honor that. I drove 4 hours to get mine. Told them several times NO DEALER DECALS or PLATE FRAMES and yet I had all of the above when I arrived.

Definitely rides better. Not as harsh.

Here's the vid explaining the removal and decompress of the springs. I followed this process exactly. Only thing it's missing in the video is you need to remove the front skid plate, but that's only 4 12mm bolts.

Used this method when lifting my 4runner. I first started off with spring compressors and moved to this. Cut HOURS off of the job and felt much safer. After 4 times taking them in and out I could get both fronts out and in in about an hour.

Figured out how to post a pic. A couple things to do this week and then more pics. Leveling kit, 2.5" up front and 1" block in the rear. Going to remove the badges and I'm getting the two rear chrome bumper pieces painted to match the body. Also thinking about painting the chrome strip around the grill to match the body...something different that I haven't seen yet. Thinking it might not be so "in your face" kinda thing, IDK...?
