Anybody running the RC 2.5" leveling kit on there Tacoma?

    http://www.roughcountry.com/toyota-suspension-lift-kit-740-20.html

Just looking for input, Searched google, Amazon etc trying to find reviews can't find much of anything on it. Truck will never see anything other than pavement most likely, so I don't need anything special so spare me the look at coilovers and full replacement leafs recommendations. I would like to run either 265/75 or 285/75 on 16" TRD Baja Grey Rock Warrior style wheels. Any input or suggestions let me know thanks

Its a spacer lift, no different than the rest of them really...some are plastic some steel some aluminum, all do the same thing, preload the shit outta your coils... you'll fit the 265's no problem the 285's will require trimming/bashing of pinchweld to make fit without rubbage.

Why do people insist on buying a crappy product even after they know it's crappy?

I had the 2.5" Rough Country spacer for about 5 years. Loved it (for the price). I beat the hell out of the truck and they did fine. And no, they don't preload the spring.

Well I've ridden in a 3" toytec lift with AALs and it was stiff as shit, I figured shackles would ride better than the AALs. Can't ride any worse than stock and cruising on the highway 15 minutes to and from work I don't need something ridiculous, but hey at least I'm not looking at 3" body lifts lol

So your looking at top plate spacers then? They will be better than coils spacers....

Most toytecs do preload because at least one spacer is usually put into the coilover.

I just don't like people jumping down people's throats on forums I'm new to toyotas I've had a LBZ some 5.3s and a bunch of jeeps, the "best lifts" vary depending on what vehicle your putting them on. But by no means am I suggesting that this RC lift is a "best option" lift just practical for what I intend to use it for

If you have an in coil spacer then yes it would preload the spring. If you have a top plate spacer then no it wouldn't.
