Bone stock TRD Off Road 4x4, double cab long bed. V6, automatic. Slug out of the hole but top end speed is decent. Only about 3 MPH off my old 2013 supercharged 1GR access cab 4x4 which ran 14.60s.

The slow 60' is not from wheelspin. That's just how lazy it is off the line.

@Rock Lobster just curious what do you run the 1/4 in with your supercharged 4.0?

Why didn't you use the sport shift? Could of held the RPM's for a hair more.

1/4 second.....that's pretty close! Could be lots of things making that difference. Cool videos!

It shifts at 6,000 RPM (redline) on its own in "Drive." The Sport Shift only seems to be a gear limiter. Holds it in the gear you select. At wide open throttle it doesn't make a difference. I've tried it haha.

I want to drive a supercharged 4.0 sometime! I'm definitely jealous! Hope they come out with some decent performance parts for the 3.5!

Interesting, I had a 2010 4Runner Trail with the 5 speed auto and sport shift and what I saw was a premature shift at around 300rpm before actually redline. If I needed to scoot if shift over to sport and hold it until redline then shift up. Not discounting your efforts but just basing it off my exp.

The lighter double cab short beds and access cabs should be in the 15s easy...

Cool video. I live about 2 miles from redline racing here in Texas. They have a 1/2 mile track. I have the DCSB, maybe when they open back up for the season I may time it.

    Great video!

You won't be on that track for over 2 years, see the garbage on facebook. Kennedale or Denton is your option, and Yello Belly hehe. btw, it's a 1/8th mile track.

I'd like to see what the DC/SBs run. I'm guessing about a tenth or 2 quicker.

Thanks for posting that. I had been wondering what they would run in the 1/4. It's actually quicker than I thought they would turn.
I would guess the top end on the 2016 Tacomas are electronically limited due to the tires.

Here's the timeslip. The 60' is slower than a Prius. That's not from wheelspin, it's from a lack of low end haha. Ran 16.0s 3 times in a row. Added to original post.
