Every driver is a marketing tool in modern NASCAR. Some more capable of harnessing their assets than others.

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me, or just rewording what I said to make a different point.

Do you view Kenseth's identical move on the last lap in the same light or does he get a pass because he's a dude?

I don't see the point in getting worked up over an insignificant moment in a good race.

Gene Haas has never run anything but Chevy either. Tony was only in the Toyota for 1 year.

I'm guessing there is a lot of money changing hands here. I also suspect that SHR hasn't been as dependent on Hendrick for "everything" as we've been led to believe. Roush/Yates engines make plenty of power - Brad and Joey have had plenty of speed.

I'm guessing that ford has decided to quit asking Jack Roush "WTF is wrong with you guys? You're supposed to be our flagship blue oval team" and get with an organization that can lend recent performance and championship capability to their efforts. Harvick/KuBusch/Bowyer/Patrick is a lot higher-vis roster than Biffle/Bayne/Danica's boyfriend.

The Ford motors have been crap... Penske would do better in a Chevy or a yota.

    IDK dude,

8 wins and 9 poles in '15 Between two top tier teams. Not bad numbers. Stats can mislead, but raw data doesn't lie.

Chevy: 15 wins, 15 poles between eight teams.
Toyota: 14 wins, 12 poles between four top tier teams.

Outside of Penske, Ford does okay. Roush was down on speed last year, but Biffle was consistently leading laps, and in the top ten when it counted. Even David Ragen pulled off some good runs in subpar equipment.

The thing Chevy has going for it (besides powerhouse teams), is the amount of cars on track. Statistically, Chevy has the best shot every weekend to win the race.

Outside of Gibbs, Toyota is crap. Nobody else win with TRD stuff. It's not Toyota winning those races, it's Gibbs' engineering staff. Gibbs was on a tear last year. They dominated from the Summer onward.

Aren't all the engines the same from specs minus paint?

Manufacturers are just sponsors, each team has to actually manufacture the blocks and heads so that's where variables come in (pushing the specs, defects) so I guess yea. Don't really know much beyond that

Then wouldn't the BEST engines be Hendrick and Gibbs?
