No trigger guard on a Glock, with the muzzle blocked makes me think of horrible things that could happen.

Yeah i would want a small kydex trigger cover with some pea cord attached to the mount. That way you draw, it clears the mount and then the trigger guard gets pulled off. Ready to go.

For sure. That system looks like a great storage method if you don't carry with one up the pipe, but a dangerous one if you do.

Can't remember if I posted this here before. This is a cool little tool for sighting in. You can plug all your variables in. Say you are stuck at a 25yd range and want to sight in for 100yds or can't remember the drop of the 300BLK at 200yds. I've seen people create drop charts for holdover and put them inside the scope cover.

    http://www.shooterscalculator.com/ballistic-trajectory-chart.php?

Here is an example for 55gr 5.56 100yd zero

    300BLK 208gr subs 50yds zero

    .45ACP drop at 1000yds

    Enjoy,

So my quest for the best 22 semi-auto (for me) continues. I've had Ruger MK1, 2 and a 22/45 lite, a couple S&W 22As, a Beretta Bobcat, a Buckmark, and I just picked up a S&W M&P 22 compact today. Haven't shot it yet, but I stopped in at the LGS and mentioned I'd like to try one and there was one in stock, so I couldn't resist. Think I'll sell the 22/45 Lite to offset the cost. Initial opinion is that it's not as solid feeling as other M&P guns thanks to the aluminum slide, but it seems to be a quality build. Just posted a pic in the "what have you bought" thread, so I won't double up here. Anyone else have a M&P 22 compact?

Well, you have gone through what most people consider the best. I'm curious what exactly you are looking for.

I don't know for sure - reliability, fun factor, looks (don't want a space gun), good suppressor host, and the feel of a normal centerfire pistol. Feeling good about the S&W. If it turns out to be reliable, I might have found one to keep.

I know exactly what you mean, I hate that space gun look some of them have. When I got one the decision was pretty easy. My siblings and I put literally multiple tens of thousands of rounds through a mark 1 growing up, so I went with a ruger.

Heres my .22 and also my high capacity hand gun (9 rounds) sentinel delux, let my wife do some double action self defence type practice yesterday, she does alright ha. That big hole was a knot that took a couple good direct hits.

Hey guys I've been thinking about selling my stag 5.56 ar15. I'm not sure what to sell it for though and was wondering what you guys thought would be a fair price. It's got Daniel defense iron sites and a BSA turret style scope. Magpul collapsible stock and matching pistol grip and foregrip, geizelle match trigger, piston driven conversion, bcm charging handle, double rail gas block, extended mag release, a couple 30 round magazines and a Troy industries flash suppressor. The barrel had been kryo treated and ceracoated a army green. image.jpgimage.jpg

Nice rifle, but the "death dealer" dust cover is kinda corny IMO. How much do you have into it? Start there to come up with a price

The gun came like that. I got the gun in a partial trade for a dualsport. There is about $2400 into the gun when you add up all the extras but that seems expensive for a pee shooter

Holy cow. No offense, but I'd list it for $600 or so around here on the used market, and I'd crack open that gun and make sure it's not an ALG trigger, because the color isn't right for a Geissele. If you want to widen your audience, take the sights off and sell them separately, because it weird to run a fixed sight on a failed gas block, and spray over the dust cover. $2400 will get you a Tavor, an Aimpoint Micro and a case of 5.56...not sure where you're going to find a buyer for anywhere close to that price.
