At the picture above, is where I had to winch up and over. I was the only toyota that made it that far 1 try. 4 FJs got stuck in the hole.

 

In high school all the red necks would take their "mudders" out to Nicolai strictly to tear shit up. Most of them ran 37s or larger tires, so I can imagine it's pretty nasty out there when it's wet.

Also- I just saw one of those NWTI bumpers that are all over craigslist... Those things look goofy. The front surface where the winch fair lead mounts was like a foot tall, and perfectly straight.

No me gusta.

Your winch is gonna have to run straight off the battery though.

Then add in a 4 gauge wire coming off the battery for the blue seas power.

Then add in two more 10 gauge wires running off the battery if you have a compressor.

Then add in another 4 gauge wire for sound system and your battery is just as crowded as it was before.

At least that's what happened with me.

Thats what Ill be going with. So much easier, but pricier.

 

I am with Dakota on this one. I like the idea of running my own wires for troubleshooting purposes. Maybe I am missing something with the sPOD, but it seems like if something were to fail between the switch and the sPOD itself, it'd be a pain in the ass to trace.

Well my truck is gonna go back to the tranny shop. Pulled p2714 CEL code again. Came to a stop sign, went to go and the tranny slipped for a sec or 2 then banged into gear. CEL and all that jazz came on about 1/4 mile down the road. It did this about 10months ago and took it in to get checked out, but I cleared the code before the shop looked at it. They did a flush on it and it felt great until yesterday.
