The Charred ones still freak me out

Plus , even though I really didn't like Strong as a companion at first , after hearing " dead need not things , we take ! " and " Strong not sure why human has to take garbage all the time " 1000 times , the big guy has kinda grown on me , lol

 

And with that, the Wasteland was suddenly pretty alright.

I got Strong all decked out in Super Mutant armour , but the guy is a weapons klepto , I found that out when he started shooting at a Mirelurk that was attacking me with a missle launcher he stole off a victim of our last gunfight

 

Did you notice this became worse after the update? No matter who I use for companion now they all seem to pick up heavy weapons and use them. I killed off that raider settlement in the bay again but I didn't find the Fatman or the mini nukes that the one guy is carrying. Next thing I know Valentine whips it out in a fight against 3 super-mutants (2 suiciders) and my game starts glitching out from the over laid explosions.

 

I've been going solo so I haven't experienced this sort of stuff, but I did encounter another weird phenomenon yesterday. One of my settlements was attacked by some Mutants and I was working in the workshop, but Dogmeat started barking so I went to investigate and saw a giant explosion. Ended up killing a Legendary Mutant, looted his body and found a cool weapon, but then noticed there were other dead bodies. There ended up being 3 other mutants all blown apart, seemingly from the original mini-nukish explosion. The thing is none of my settlers were even involved in the fight so I can only assume the Legendary Mutant nuked his own dudes?

 

Do you have good defense? One of your turrets likely hit the suicider in the arm leading to a team kill. Any shot that hits the suicider in the right arm causes a premature detonation.

 

This is before I had set any turrets or traps up at all. I only had 2 settlers and both were asleep. Maybe a suicider hit it's proximity to a sleeping settler through a wall? It was right up against the side of a house.

 

No , I noticed Piper picking up eeapons before the latest patch

 

Weird. That could be. Or maybe a friendly hit him. I've seen game glitches were enemies try to fire through walls. If anyone hits that suicider in the arm it's game over for him and anyone within a close proximity of him.

Damn no fast travel. That's hardcore.

 

I stopped using fast travel a couple weeks ago , the only time I used it lately was when my companions turned on me and I was trying to get away from them

So what happens when a settlement gets attacked and you're not nearby? Or when you have too much scrap on you and a companion?

I kinda have to use it since I go around in power armor and don't want to use up the fusion core.

 

I haven't had a settlement attacked in a while , but I've had time to get to them when I have , if I have too much scrap to run I can't fast travel anyway so I just don't go over my weight limit and load up my companions till they can't carry any more

Oh and I finally found some Heavy Synth armor but only both arms so far

 

Well when I scavenge I fill both of us up and I'm usually doing a mission or in an area I've never been to yet, but when you're at your limit and there's still more area to scavenge through that's when I have to drop everything off at a settlement (typically sanctuary)
Actually 2 of my settlements got attacked at the same time the other day.

 

I killed everyone in diamond city today cuz I was bored. Initially I was just using sandman to kill sleeping settlers and loot them and then killing guards with sneek but someone finally caught on and I had to slaughter all but the boy by the water purifier and Piper's sister. I couldn't kill the mayor or his secretary, they would go down, go back up and stop attacking me, unless I attacked again and the process would repeat. I know you can kill the mayor after you beat the game because I did that in my first play through, but apparently you can't prior.

 

Almost all of my settlements are linked so I just unload at the nearest settlement
